New Jersey is a wasteland. They would re-elect
Launtenberg’s maggot eaten corpse over a Republican.

No way is it that close.

New Jersey must be destroyed in order to save it!

It’s reassuring to see that Zimmer has held steady while other Republicans have slipped since the financial crisis has hit. Voters clearly have qualms about the aging Frank Lautenberg. And while Zimmer is nothing great, he’s far better than reelecting Lautenberg.

Some good news. I may not like everything Zimmer stands for but I hope NJ supports Zimmer. He is closing that gap. Here in VA it is an up hill battle. Gilmore has closed 7 points but needs to close twice that before election day. Steve Pearce is losing in New Mexico because of illegal immigration. New Mexico has the highest number in the nation and Hispanics are going for Udall by a huge margin. If I were Pearce I’d run ads hitting Udall on Abortion targeting Catholic Hispanics.

Latenberg is not so popular and he has been hit by many effective ads from Zimmer. He just might fall this time. It would be a welcome November upset.

Careful what you wish for. If he drops too much, the PRNJ Rats might swap him for the Torch!

It has been and continues to be that close. And if people around here weren't so darned negative all the time, the numbers would probably be even better.

Can Zimmer Steal Lautenberg's Senate Seat for the GOP?

As a long time resident of New Jersey, that poll fills me with hope and optimism.

We are so beaten down here, it is pathetic!

The stupid RINO has an outside chance. The corrupt in the pocket of dems RINO party in NJ keep sending out these RINO’S for their sacrificial slaughter and keep telling us they need to be MORE RINO to get elected. We had a SUPERSTAR conservative in Bret Schundler and the “Republican” party campaigned AGAINST him for Governor. I freaking kid you not!

If you’re not part of the corrupt machinery in NJ you are OUT!

Bret Schundler was an excellent Mayor and the RINO’s refusal to support him wholeheartedly was a huge mistake.

It wasn’t a “mistake” per se, he refused to be part of the machinery and they destroyed him, it was wholly intentional. They don’t care about winning.

My friend is friends with a mayor of a town I won’t mention, these guys are getting rich, he has now switched “parties” to “Republican”.

I’ve met both Lautenberg and Biden - both love the chance to speak and will babble on aimlessly forever if not stopped. They seem to be the same person.

Strategic Vision is a partisan pollster for the GOP and therefore their results should be treated with suspicion.

This poll is consistent with many, many other NJ polls.

Lautenberg needs help putting his DEPENDS on but he wins New Jersey going away. New Jersey is an embarrassment to the US.

NJ tends to throw out this teaser, but always seems to trend Dem in the late going.
