Boomer? Not a race!
"Boomer" refers to a generation of American's that were born and came of age in a very unique period of American history. That uniqueness allowed them to grow up without being tested and trained for life's grim reality.
You can think of the Boomers as trust fund babies that suddenly got their money taken away from them.
No I can't. I've experienced people from eras before and after the Boomers and I say you speak from ignorance.
I am a boomer. I am not a trust fund baby. I went to work at 13 to help buy necessities for my household. I worked my way through college and helped my husband get his college degree.
I did not have health insurance during this time, and arranged payments whenever my family needed dental care or hospitalization.
I have never had a student loan, or been on welfare. I saved money to send my children to college, and for my retirement.
I also helped my parents pay their bills. I retired 5 years ago to take care of my elderly father who would otherwise have to be in a nursing home.
I do not appreciate comments which lump me in with trust fund babies.

You truly don’t think we have ENOUGH liberalism?

To assert everyone that was born after the greatest generation as “spolied” is not only idiotic, but it ignores the ridiculously spoiled in the generations AFTER us boomers!
We grew up with no cell phones, NO PAGERS (if you can even recall what those were), no remotes, no microwaves, no PC’s and forget video games...I remember what a giant deal PONG was!
I mean if you people truly want to go down this stupid road, we’ll be forced to remind you Sarah Palin’s a boomer and your gals are Brittney Spears and Paris Hilton! ;)
