ust got all set up here. I didn't say anything about it because I wasn't sure I'd get it together. But Im hooked up now, in the bleeder seats press section of a medium sized tennis stadium. (The ADT Tennis Center at the Home Depot, if you know the area.) There's an overfull crowd but I'm crap at estimating crowd size. I'll try to get a number from a cop.

If anyone knows how many the ADT Tennis center holds-- add 20%.

Right now Dana Rohrbacher is speaking. He's connecting Palin to Reagan and Jimmy Steward from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

I guess, I’m dense but does this mean that MostlyNutsifornia is still in play?

ADT holds about 12,000 for tennis? Plus 20% Can someone confirm that size and the crowd? That would be OUT-—STANDING!!! Literally and figuratively.

Or perhaps he has visions of grandeur. He wants a Reagan election map.

I never knew Gov. Palin was a "he." All this time "he" had me fooled. Nice drag!

Gosh, if only McCain/Palin would listen to the "experts" here on FR, all would be well with the world. [cue angels singing]

"why is he wasting time, money -and more importantly -Palin, in California?"

Whether California is in play or not, there are millions of GOP donors that can help with money, 527s and volunteer help elsewhere. There is also a rumor that internal polls show that Obama isn't really running as strong as the MSM is claiming.

Maybe Mac has some internal polls that say otherwise. That would be the “half full” viewpoint.

ex-Los Angeles-area guy question...

what facility is Palin speaking at (in photo in post 11)?

Just curious if that’s in the soccer facility that was built a few
years ago...

...McCain organizers believe the Carson rally will play to a national television audience, as well as energize local volunteers who helped McCain win the California primary and clinch the Republican nomination.

...

After the 2:30 p.m. rally in Carson - which will be held rain or shine - Palin will head to a $1,000-per-person fundraiser at 5 p.m. in Costa Mesa. She will also hold a $1,000-a-plate brunch Sunday morning in the Bay Area, before heading east to campaign in Florida and North Carolina on Monday and Tuesday.

The rally and the two fundraisers were initially scheduled for last week in Orange County, but were postponed so that Palin could meet foreign leaders at the United Nations...

We live in Riverside and had business in Harbor City today and considered going to that event in Carson. We heard on the radio that crowd started lining up early this morning and that there weren’t going to be enough tickets for those already there much less those of us coming later.

We finished our business and came back home to Riverside. It’s about 70 miles from our place to Carson.

He’s going to lose CA by 10 points minimum. I swear he’s trying to lose.

*************************

Nah!

1) “Polls” that show Obama ahead tell a different story when internals are studied.
2) Hillary and Bill don’t want Obama to win, since she wants to run again in 2012
3) “Hussein” being Obama’s middle name is still news to most people.
4) A picture of Obama dressed as a Muslim (there are at least three) is still worth 1000 words (3000 in this case). Man your email station! Post bills!
5) The PUMAs who know the hows and whys of Hillary getting cheated, will vote Palin, and will pull others.
6) “Bitter ... [Gun Clingers]”, will vote McCain
7) The Palins ARE America and the conservative base. America and the conservative base will vote accordingly.
8) The NRA has “8 figures” of ads to unload in “swing” states
9) Obama is only 5 points up in New York! New York!
10) The Democrats were talking about Democratic consultants freaking out over Obama mis-managing his campaign before they settled into poll alteration.
11) The Enemedia is already spreading the meme that if Obama loses, it “is racism”. They see the tea leaves ...
12) The Media was calling the election for Kerry ELECTION MORNING in 2004, and Carter and Reagan polled evenly on election day! Also, www.InTrade.com had Kerry as an 80/20 favorite on election morning 2004. SOMEONE is trying to buffalo us!
13) McCain has not yet played either the Jeremiah Wright card nor the Tony Rezko card!
14) Plenty of white Democratic voters are unimpressed with Obama, and will not vote for him.
15) Obama has only 60% of the Jewish vote, compared to the 75% Kerry got.
16) The Christian base that re-elected Bush in 2004, knows Sarah is more than a Sunday Christian, and is praying for her.
17) Polls are meant by the liberal media, to SHAPE public opinion, not report it.

I see from the report that protesters interrupted Palin on several occasions. Interesting isn’t it that Obama doesn’t have to deal with this kind of thing? Instead it’s almost always the petty fascists of the left disrupting a conservative.

What concerns me is it seems like it’s being “normed” or mainstreamed. We’re becoming acclimated, like it’s just a natural part of the deal. They disrupted McCain at the convention, which as far as I know is unprecedented (or had a convention been disrupted before? besides 1968 that is), and it’s like it barely raises an eyebrow. Then it turns out the Code Pink wacko who did it is a well known fundraiser for Obama. Can you believe that? But it’s like that’s not even worth talking about ~ which to me is more than a little unsettling.

The introduction and mainstreaming of petty violence (which is what these disruptions are) into the civil discourse on a regular basis is an unhealthy thing and really needs to stop.
