When Palin was speaking, he would look at her with this look in his eye, like “Damn, she’s good.” You could see it in his smile when she would throw him some zingers”

Great line. Actually, Letterman’s joke was pretty funny — about Palin preparing for the debate by shooting a donkey. Not bad, considering Letterman hasn’t been funny for at least 20 years. When is he going to retire?
