Towards the end of my call to Chris Plante, I told him that $192 million of the $800+ billion bailout bill was going towards Rums of Puerto Rico excise taxes, and I told Chris that our legislators on Capitol Hill knew what they were doing because they want to get us all ‘boozed up’ and completely drunk so that we don’t know what’s going on in the halls of Congress and they want us to be ‘totally wasted’ so that we don’t take our anger out in the streets. They want us totally drunk so that we don’t notice our taxes going up and up and up!
