No confirmation on this, no tip, no hint.

But I know what he's doing.

John McCain is waiting until the bill passes.

And then he will unleash the dogs of war.

700 bn dollars so he can bludgeon them about past mistakes? Not that I believe he would ever do it, but what will that accomplish? The money will be gone and the problem won't be solved.

The way I read this is that the claim is he's waiting until after the bill passes the house (because he believes its necessary) so that when he goes on the attack against Obama, Frank, Dodd, Clinton, et al for being involved with this mess, he doesn't prompt the dems to kill the bill, send the market into a tailspin, and blame McCain for the stock market crash that ensues.

Quite honestly, I've been rather dumbfounded that, while conservative talk radio and bloggers have been all over this mess, properly placing blame on the CRA, Frank, Dodd, Obama, Raines, Johnson, and the Clinton administration... no one else is. I don't see it in campaign ads, stump speeches, nothing. I haven't been able to figure out why that is. So this is as good a reason as any for that.

” He needs to put Romney on the stump in the red states. “

Yes. I have been thinking that too. Where has Romney been hiding during all of this drama?

Don't know. Could be that Romney owns a hedge fund and is a Wall Street Insider, or wants 2012. After last night though, Sarah would be the favorite.

I would camp Romney out in Colorado, NM, and Nevada huge Mormon states. Promise him a Cabinet Spot.

It’s all about strategy, in the final McCain/obama debate, McCain is going to go nuclear on the subject, it will be closer to the election and fresher in the voters minds.

Romney has said he won’t serve in a McCain adminstration if asked, but I thought he was going to campaign for McCain.

I hope your right because he looks just like all the rest of those Washington insiders right now. Osama and Obiden included.

I’m in Macomb. I can’t tell you the amount of people I see with McCain t-shirts, and yardsigns. Walk into Walmart and you’ll see McCain everywhere.

I’m with you.

McLame is too passive , he wastes too many great opportunities to shove it to the opposition . I don’t have much faith in his ability to take advantage of the current situation . He’d rather loose the election than lose a liberal friend ,,,,, and you can quote me on that .

Don’t know if I can take the whiny Freepers today. Come on guys, stop harping on the negative and move on to some positives. Nothing to gain from being a whiner and much to lose. May have to take a break from all of this today.

Mine was positive.

And I agree with you. I think it was FReeper TonyinOhio that posted the poll numbers for Kerry/Bush at this time in 2004 and Kerry was leading.

We have to remember that!

McCain? Attack? ROFLMAO!! He's too busy building bridges with the enemy camp. Yeah, John- let's keep those insider buddies of yours in the financial bailout mix and by all means, let's legitimize AlGore into your globull warming panderfest. What an idiot.

McCain eyes potential Treasury picks (and Respects AlGore)

The ONLY one on the attack is Sarah, after being placed in mothballs for weeks by McCain and his INEPT campaign staff. Now, Sarah is forced to not only attack to here front, but also protect her own flanks and rear, thanks to McCain's bi-partisanship mush. McCain keeps opening up huge gaps in his own campaign. He had better hope to hell that Sarah can clone herself.

The money will be gone and the problem won’t be solved.

The money is buying assets. It won’t be gone.
