He said he would involve former Vice President Al Gore in efforts to address the issue. "I would tap him, I would tap people who have been involved in these issues for many years." McCain noted that he disagreed with the Nobel Peace Prize winner about nuclear energy but added, "I have great respect for Al Gore."

Rush mentioned a few days ago that Algore lost a bundle when Lehman bit it. Any FReepers know if Algore uses a corporation name to buy and sell shares in Lehman?...it would be interested to see if he “cashed in “ before the collapse......(shuuuush insider....shuuuush...well it could be....)

If McCain is elected, you are going to be surprised that he will run this country from right.
Remember in his first economic speech last year, he said he would only implement environmental regulation if it didn’t hurt the US economy.
He does have an out. He said he would support Kyoto only if China and India did, but they won’t and they never will.

If you think its bad now, just wait until hes in charge.
Yes, I realize Obama is worse.
In my estimation, McCain has a good chance of being a disaster as President.
On the other hand, Obama is a certain catastrophe.
That's about where we are...

I am begining to think the man is an idiot.
I am voting for Sarah Palin, and that is the only reason this guy will benefit from my vote.
Good Lord, is this really the best we can do?

I hate to say it, but Hillary has more balls than McCain. She fought to the bitter end. She wasn’t afraid to say that she appealed to White voters. She didn’t care that people called her a shameful opportunist when she was throwing back shots of Crown Royal.
And am I the only who is convinced that it was a Hillary supporter way high up at ABC News who decided to air those Rev. Wright videos? I’d bet my life on it. It’s only because of Hillary that the American people got to see those videos. She left no fingerprints, but she was behind it, no question.
There was only so much she could do, seeing as she was appealing to Democrats. But if she were the Republican nominee, believe you me, she would leave no unused bullets in her guns. As opposed to McCain, who will leave warehouses full of stockpiles of WMDs that he should have been detonating against Obama over the past month.

“McCain lost my vote when he voted for this pig bailout bill.”
Mine too. I was ready to feel dirtier than a prostitute and vote for him but not now and for the same reason. He has exposed himself too many times for what he is and it’s pure politician. All I can hope for at this point is that if Obama wins, he will be fought tooth and nail all the way by congress and after 4 years of him, America will not want another democrat for a good 20 years. It’s going to be painful.

He is what he is - a compromiser with little regard for personal freedom or national integrity. Palin is his perfect camouflage.

I can't do an Obama PresidencyLots of Freepers seem to think that America could not survive an Obama presidency.
For better or for worse, John McCain does not feel the same way.

To me, it doesn't matter now. McCain lost my vote when he voted for this pig bailout bill.
Indeed.

Take solice that Sarah is only one heartbeat away from being president if they get elected. I was not going to vote this year but have changed my mind and now will vote for Sarah Palin. I think that McCain knows this and is using her to keep us true conservatives in line while he goes after the soft center. I don't like it but I understand I sympathize with your sentiments.
Everyone knows what I'd like to happen between the young vital potential vice president and the more elderly fellow. There's no way I can say it on Free Republic without sounding mean.
