John McCain is pulling out of Michigan, according to two Republicans, a stunning move a month away from Election Day that indicates the difficulty Republicans are having in finding blue states to put in play.

I agree this is not just a McCain Campaign issue this is a GOP issue. At some point you need to let the racism accusations roll off your shoulder and and call fraud for what it is. Eventually if you don't cave in the American people will get it. I think most Americans are truly sick of the political correctness restraints that prevent legitimate concerns from being expressed. The key is you can't immediately give in to the mobs and hold your ground. Yes you will suffer casualties at first but eventually race baiting can be extinguished or at least diminished where its not a legitimate issue.
I do take Obama's Iowa ground game seriously, but your latter point (re: RNC vs. McCain) is well taken.
I hope this is a false alarm, but it's certainly not beyond the range of possibility, unfortunately.

Why don’t you just post at the DUmp? Clearly you’d be in your element there.
It’s up on Yahoo now..

And, ooooh, YIPFREEKINYEE - his BROTHER is coming here?
Wow. That should really fill the stands.
What BS.
Looks like McCain has all but officially thrown in the towel at this point. It’s all over but the crying. And against an opponent that should be CAKE to beat!
We should all (Freepers) move to Texas and secede.
According to a post a few posts up, he cancelled an event there.
I would need to register there to do that, and I have zero intention of giving them any personal information when I sign up.
I hope this isn’t true. I just spoke with my parents in Kalamazoo. They report that the Obama signs are thick among the university snobs, but that once you get out of town there are McCain signs everywhere. They’ve lived in Michigan since 1959, and they didn’t seem to think it was impossible for him to snag it this time around.
Being from Michigan today it is very depressing to know that your vote doesn’t make a difference. Especially in light of the next two debates which were before the next Michigan appearance.
I guess I can just go fishing on election day.
Unsurprising that's the only reason you wouldn't want to hang out at the DUmp. Your attitude and politics are a perfect fit.
...and Maine!
It’s pull out time
the only question is will Hillary replace Obama?
The answer was given LONG LONG ago

Re all of the reports about what is going on in Florida:
I am in South Florida...Ft Lauderdale area to be exact and here is what I see
*My solid middle class neighborhood has NO Obama yard signs that I can find. In 2004, you could not spit and miss a Kerry sign. I took an extended run this afternoon and found four “Democrat for McCain” signs.
*Our Victory office cannot keep yard signs and bumper stickers with Sarah’s name on them in stock. People get down right irate when they are informed that they can only get one per visit.
*Also at the Victory office, we have more volunteers than phones.
*If you are not already familiar with the no match no vote law, google it. Acorn is going to have a very hard time cheating here.
Now I know that I am only talking about one little corner of a great big state. But this little corner is usually a very blue one. It feels very different this year in a good way.
Chin up people. Please do not even think of conceding this great country to a Marxist. If Mac isn’t fighting hard enough in your opinion...go help him.
MANY are not telling the truth. On the left you have the cellphone only people, and the ones that talk big but never turn out to vote. On the right you have the great Silent Majority, who keepp their mouths shut, and if they DO talk to pollsters would NEvER admit to a stranger that they won’t vote for this particular black man. (I understand some of them wouldn’t vote for any BM, but some of them just understandably don’t like BO.)
It’s pretty hard to make a solid prediction these days. It could still go 49-1 for McCain.
Something is rotten in Hamtramck.
Is there a Trojan Horse among the McCain staff?
