Thanks for posting this. You just ticked me off enough to send another polite nastygram to my illustrious CongressCritters.
Too bad it won't go. Looks like we crashed their servers. Heh. FreeRepublic has better servers than our gubmint. Maybe it'll go later.

You were right. I got right through, which surprised me. This was Gabby Giffords’ office, and the young lady was very nice and polite. But as soon as I asked “What does this have to do with the economy or the banking system, it can only damage output at a time when we need it most, this is pettiness yada yada,” she got kinda subdued. I imagine she’s been getting hammered all day. I heard a few days ago on the news her constituents are running near 100% opposed.

I`ve already said this,we need to have a series of nation wide freeps. We can call them carbon outs and burn charcoal, with hot dogs to grill if its illegal to have open fires there, dry ice in water, and CO2 extinguishers for special effects.

Allowing pork earmarks to ride on an unrelated bill is nutz! (Just a foreigner's opinion, FWIW.)

So, were these provision inserted by Congress at Paulson's behest or by their own initiative? Who cares? Blame the rat controlled Congress for raising the cost of energy!

This appears to be an attempt by global warming fanatics to lay the foundation for an economy-killing carbon tax just like the cap-and-tax system that is now destroying European industry. This is also a great way to shake down industrial leaders for special legislation that will allow them to keep their doors open a little longer and paychecks going out a few more years... I never thought I'd say it but, "where is John Galt?"...

You thinks it’s *nutz* now, wait until we drag ya’ll into the fray or should I say the North American Union.
This banking *crisis* may be the trigger to initiate the SPP.
