I’m certainly not giving up but I am upset by:

1) the abject LACK of an ongoing, consistent national representation of the truly Conservative message since the Republican Revolution of 1994, or maybe even since Ronald Reagan.

2) “Republicans who are aisle crossing, consensus seekers with the abysmally Socialistic, American-hating Left. More bluntly they are cowardly pussies who won’t fight. McCain’s passivity is beginning to make the docile Bush look like a fighting tiger by comparison.

We shouldn’t have to rely on a knock-em dead performance from Governor Palin. She could walk on the Mississippi River water tonight here in St. Louis, and the media would still paint it in whatever twisted, negatively propagandizing, fashion they desire.

They would say she can't swim.

McCain’s passivity is beginning to make the docile Bush look like a fighting tiger by comparison.

BEGINNING?! EVERYONE on this thread knew who we were getting when McCain became the nominee. The only reason that I am energized AT ALL is because Governor Palin is on the ticket. SHE energized the base when she was announced and she energized it again at the RNC Convention. SHE CAN energize the base again with a great performance tonight. I agree that we shouldn't have to rely on Palin for an over-the-top performance, but such is this election. This is how this election has been going for A LONG TIME now.

I refuse to get beaten down by bogus poll numbers. SINCE WHEN DID WE RELY ON POLL NUMBERS? I also refuse to get beaten down because of McCain acting like McCain. A tiger is a tiger. And lastly, I refuse to get beaten down because a bill is passing through a Congress in which we run NEITHER house. It is what it is at this point. I am glad that the House was able to reject the first pass, but I have had ZERO confidence in the Senate for a long time now.

This is a referendum on OBAMA! Everything else going on right now are distractions. Some are more expensive distractions than others, but elections have consequences and unfortunately, A LOT OF PEOPLE STAYED HOME in 2006 and ushered in a completely DEMOCRAT-RUN CONGRESS.
