Not everyone is as smart as you, yes it did start in the 30’s in colleges. As for your last paragraph, I happen to agree with everything you said. You will see I said it earlier in the thread, I believe 99% don’t even know they’re in on the big picture. I KNOW Reid and Pelosi don’t know what they’re doing, they’re not smart enough to be that nefarious.

My larger point is that many here are falling prey to the drumbeat of negativity and inevitability of “President Obama”, etc., and they’re not all trolls.

Truth is that in America, people have come to value money more than freedom. Freedom has been taken for granted. People think that without money, what is freedom worth? They just don’t want to really know the real answer to that, and they don’t even want to consider it.

It would take a loss of freedom for so many to realize that money is not worth a thing without liberty to enjoy it.

This bailout scared the crap out of me. There is no doubt that he is correct in his evaluation of leftist academics and the media in America. Barack Hussein Obama fits in here too. It is easy to see him as a destabilizer or crisis maker, and taking advantage of it too. As far as I’m concerned, FDR never fixed the economy, but it never hurt his political fortune, or that of the Democratic party.

Timing is often hard in general. For example, we were surprised that the war in Iraq went so well and we won so quickly and cleanly. Then we were surprised by the strong Jihadi resistance, foreign and domestic, within Iraq, and all the time required to mop up “dead-enders.” It seems we got the war right, but not the timing. That should be no surprise, because no one has a perfect crystal ball.

In this case Bezmenov says that he was surprised by the rapid communist progress in the US. But perhaps the next stage is going slower than he might have expected?

What was the date of the video? It does not look recent.

I realize that these principles and techniques are timeless. But some consideration must be given to when he made his predictions and to subsequent events up to the present. I would like to anticipate criticism of the video and have answers.

Your attempt to try to turn my post into something that proves your point is pathetic.

The fact remains that in the last couple of weeks, McCain has been very ineffective. Obama and the democrats have been getting away with their lying rhetoric and have been gaining in the polls.

We tried hard to be non-partisan and nice in the 2006 election cycle and we lost big. If McCain continues to try to take the high-road and to try to sound non-partisan, then he will lose. Your video is not relevant to what's happening on the ground right now in this election cycle.

You probably haven't read my prior posts where my optimism was probably much higher for a McCain win that anybody else's. I still believe that McCain can win this election by a wide margin if he decides to stop trying to be so non-partisan and so wanting to be loved by everyone. If he does decide to fight back and tag the democrats and Obama with the truth about how it's the democrats like Obama who are responsible for the mortgage and credit messes, then McCain can win very handily, with (my original prediction), 55% of the votes and over 300 electoral votes. My original predictions were very hopeful and very optimistic. But lately, McCain hasn't had the fire in his eyes to win this election.

Second I am not the smartest person on the block, just informed. In my late teens early 20’s I really got into Gramsci, Lukacs, Horkheimer, Adorno, Marcuse etc... because of this BS buzzword called “political correctness” that was being bandied about and a threat to Western Civilization. Found out PC is no accident, that it was spread via in academia and later unleashed in the media.

I took and taught this course. It was a good eyeopener and effectively “deprograms” well intentioned useful idiots. My husband and I held this in our home, and I taught it to a Woman’s Bible Study group in our church. Most of the students were stunned throughout the course, although I know many FReepers know some of this already.

It’s a 12 week Christian course. The teacher, Del Tackett, was VP of Focus on the Family for awhile.
