Morris: "McCain is losing the election this minute"
Fox News | 9/30/08

Posted on 09/30/2008 1:33:52 PM PDT by pabianice

Dick Morris on Fox: McCain is bungling the bail-out issue so badly that he has basically lost the election by "a lot; will be 12 points behind Obama next week." McCain "is giving this issue away to Obama" by being ineffective and not pinning it rightfully on Pelosi, ACORN, and the Dems.

Pro-Obama ads are running 3-1 vs. McCain ads. Obama videos/Yoytube are running ten to one against McCain. I can't understand how a brave warrior like McCain can be so blind and go down with no fight. HOW can McCain let the ACORN issue just slide away?

I don’t hate anyone, Dick Morris is an attention whore, like Newt Gingrich.

Morris changes his mind almost daily. From his Friday column:

http://www.dickmorris.com/blog/2008/09/26/the-brilliance-of-mccains-move/

By Monday, at the latest, the Democrats have to cave in and pass the Republican version. They don’t dare pass their own without GOP support, so they will have to cave in to the Republican version.

Then McCain comes out of the process as the hero who made it happen when the president couldn’t and Obama wouldn’t. He becomes the bailout expert.

And, of course, the bailout will work. With the feds standing behind the bad debt, whether by purchase or loans and insurance, Wall Street will breathe a sigh of relief. Bears won’t dare bet against the economy with the entire weight of the federal government on the other side. They may be bears but they are not rabid.

Finally, McCain, as the reigning expert on bailouts, then can take the tax issue to Obama, saying that a tax increase, such as the Democrat is pushing, would destroy the bailout, ruin the economy, and trigger a collapse.

This bold move by McCain is about to work. Big time.

His “Big Dance” day is here and he’s too busy in the men’s room with his cajones stuck in his zipper

LOL, that was funny! And an interesting visual. He is worse than tepid the last few days. His run back to Washington, then away from Washington, then back to Washington fiasco was confusing. I think personally he has this thing won but he is playing prevent defense and anythig can happen when you do that. I see Sarah Palin has woken up from her stupor and actually sounded animated yesterday on the campaign trail. Her robotic stump speeches were starting to irritate me.

I hate to say it but McCain has let this campaign slip through his fingers. He has let Palin out there swinging in the wind with only an occasional cursory defense by him against the vicious attack on her by the left. Now I hear that his staff is over-prepping her for Thursday’s debate. Unless some miracle occurs we might as well take down the yard signs and call it a day, the parties over. Thanks to the McCain staff of imcompetents.

I thought McCain was pretty aggressive in the foreign policy debate. He must be saving it for the economy debate when the American people will be watching. Why waste it now when the media will only distort it.

The shame is that if he goes down, he drags Palin with him.

These kinds of threads are unhealthy. McCain is McBrilliant. McCain is the new Bob Dole. McCain doesn't want to win any more. McCain will be behind by 12 points next week.

Please. There are gaffes and goofs on both sides. How can anyone say that McCain doesn't want to win? And the polls are going to close.

If you folks hang on every single minute of this campaign and microanalyze every frickin' poll and use them to plan your emigration to Belize, you need to get a life. While I care deeply about this election, the way I live my life and care for my business and family are far more important than any one person who lives in the WH.

This is supposedly a conservative forum. But too many face elections like everything we are as individuals is defined by them. C'mon.

Because McCain’s base is again losing their enthusiasm, ala pre Palin, and he offers no alternative vision to the Independent voter who says oh well, might as well go democrat.

I will TRUST in God and NOT man!! DO NOT FEAR! Keep your eyes on the Lord and work hard for McPal!! Please, please read this and be encouraged by it

Psalms 46

1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. [c] 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. 5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. 6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. 7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. 8 Come and see what the LORD has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields [d] with fire. 10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." 11 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

He is totally committed to the delusional world of phony senatorial collegiality. Reaching out to his good friends across the aisle, while they dismember him. It's sad that Palin is associated with him.

To the McCain Campaign: Hello….wakey wakey…eggs and bakie. Did you guys know that there is a Presidential election coming up in just a few weeks? I though since McCain is a candidate he might out to know this. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you guys. I donated to McCain because I though he was serious. Now it looks like he is just a weak kneed RINO who is afraid to go on the defensive. Shame on McCain for accepting the Republican nomination and then squandering it. My dead uncle could run a better campaign than you guys are. Now shit or get off the pot and let someone else who has some fire in their belly and wants to win take over.

McCain is running a different kind of campaign dontcha know. He isnt going to go after anyone. He never has, he never will.
If he isn't going after anyone and never will, then how is he going to "make pork barrelers famous"? Isn't that his big promise? Now is his chance to prove what he's made of. He tells us he's surrounded by corruption in Washington, OK, so he needs to pull back the covers and name names.
