Bloomberg can break the law the voters passed twice. At the same time the rest of the corrupt council will also break the law in a backroom deal.

This isn’t such a terrible thing. If Bloomberg doesn’t run again, chances are very high that we could get another Dinkins.

more of “the laws are only for the little people”

janet nap is maneuvering around laws here in az, not that particular one but is using her power to avoid the legislature to promote her agenda

the arrogance of these people never ceases to amaze me.

To paraphrase Lenin: “Laws, like piecrusts, were meant to be broken.”

I’m sure that Bloomie admires Lenin.

As always a lib is a lib. When Rudy's time was up he left. He also cleaned up a lot of the street crap that was going on. Now Bloomie and his ego are going to do what he likes because we voters need to understand that he only has our best interests at heart. Mean time the street window washers are making a come back. Wall street is talking about moving out, but at least we have banned trans fats. Yes he is definitely needed for a third term. Sarc.

If they pass it Rudy should mount a primary challenge. He will squash that little billionaire bug.

Bloomberg should not be allowed to hold any office ever again. Disgusting statists like him have destroyed America. I wouldn’t vote for Bloomberg even if Adolf Hitler leapt from the grave to run against him.

Sure Bloomberg can run for a third term...that doesn’t mean he will win. There are too many pissed off people to allow that to happen.

"Mr. Bloomberg . . . is expected to argue that the financial crisis unfolding in New York City demands his steady hand and proven business acumen."

The arrogance!

What does it take for the people of NYC to learn? Bloomberg is not a leader; he's a controller.

In his announcement, Mr. Bloomberg, a former Wall Street trader and founder of a billion-dollar financial data firm, is expected to argue that the financial crisis unfolding in New York City demands his steady hand
This is how free people succumb to dictatorships.

...those voters will have no say in the matter...

Sure they will. Don't vote for the scumbag.
