Can a Catholic vote for Obama?

Well, Liberation Theology sprang from the Catholic Church.

I know that “Liberation Theology” has been quite a mess depending upon interpretation.

“The current Pope, Benedict XVI, has long been known as an opponent of certain strands of liberation theology, and issued several condemnations of tendencies within it whilst head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF).”

and that's a quote from wiki.

If you want to know how the Pope stands, he's made it abundantly clear that a vote for what is intrinsically evil (abortion, same sex marriages, stem cell research, and euthanasia) is never permissible. To knowingly champion sin is to commit a grave sin which requires the Sacrament of Reconciliation to remove.

For a Catholic political leader to knowingly champion sin and lead others to sin is automatic excommunication, and that political leader must not receive what is Holy—namely, the Holy Eucharist. To do so would mean death of the soul.

I'm not sure how the US Bishops will handle Sen. Kennedy's inevitable departure. But, did you know that John Gotti wasn't given a Catholic funeral Mass? Gotti refused to reconcile or confess the sins of his crimes.

If you love Jesus, follow His Commands. If you want to be Catholic, follow the rules.

Where are you getting this kind of information? It would see that you are trying to bash the Catholic Church. Please get your facts right!

Here are the beliefs of the Catholic Church on abortion:
