Is CBS holding back unflattering portion of Sarah Palin interview with Katie Couric?

Katie Couric certainly set off a lot of buzz -- and a classic "Saturday Night Live" parody -- with her memorable interview with Gov. Sarah Palin.
There's blogging speculation that CBS is holding back some devastating portion of the Palin interview.
"Absolutely, positively not true," a CBS News spokeswoman said Tuesday. "A lot of buzz out there is not accurate."
Couric interviewed Palin and presidential candidate John McCain on Monday's "CBS Evening News." Couric will offer another Palin installment from the campaign trail on Tuesday's broadcast, at 6:30 p.m. on WKMG-Channel 6.
The "CBS Evening News" will present Palin and Joe Biden, Barack Obama's running mate, answering the same questions on Wednesday and Thursday's programs. Their responses are contrasted to preview the vice-presidential debate on Thursday. The segment is modeled on "primary questions," a sequence in which Couric posed the same questions to primary candidates. Couric talked to Palin last week and Biden the week before. The rest of the Palin material is on CBSNews.com, the network says.

What they held back was the footage of Palin knocking lame questions about religion out of the park.

For once, I agree with CBS. If they had unflattering footage, they’d air it.

I someone on the radio (sorry don’t recall who) comparing the full transcript to the edited video which was aired. The implication being the full transcript was already released.

I'm sure they have more bits they can edit to make Palin look bad, as they did with their editing of the aired interview.
What they edited out for sure were many segments that would have given a true take on Palin and show her in a positive light.

this is the media’s way of planting the idea: “if you think that was bad you should see the parts they didn’t show”

Am assuming they mean, 'devastating' to Katie. Otherwise; we know, absolutely, those 'portions' would be out there for public consumption and Liberal 'goring'. . .
That said, sounds like some ill will be floated. . .

They’re dribbling it out to get the most mileage (i.e. ratings) out of it. Standard practice when a TV show has some kind of hot property.

Is there anything else that could damage Couric’s reputation anymore? Maybe she asked Palin if she saw her Colonoscopy video?
