I don’t buy the claim that McCain was trying to take credit for the bill. However, I am thoroughly convinced that Pelosi sabotaged its passage. I expect the approval rating of Congress to fall even further.

Now why would that be? Most around here are THRILLED the bill failed, and funny thing the Left's nut roots are thrilled too. I would think Congress would go UP in approval.

Of course when people can't get loans and the economy tanks, they may have a little different perspective on this.....

Are you so sure the economy will tank? I mean, we have the largest anticipatory Fear-Fest in US history and the loss yesterday failed to set a record [percentage wise]. Maybe they should yell louder and make wilder claims before they look like fools.

There’s still hope for a depression, but they need to work harder at it.
