Ah yes, our wunnerful FOID (peace be upon its name) Card.
I just loooove renewing it and calling the State Police when 60 days has passed, the old one is expired, my new one hasn't arrived and trying to find out WTF is going on -- like when I'll be arrested for owning 'illegal guns'.

Its simple 51. If you don’t own a gun you don’t have to apply for a FOID.
I think there may be a “wink, wink, nudge, nudge” in there somewhere.
My 13 year old son got his in 4 weeks. I guess it takes time to do a criminal background check on a kid who won't be old to drive for 3-1/2 more years.
