Is Barack Obama an Indonesian Citizen?
On Sunday, I received an email from An Expat in Southeast Asia, Larry Martin.
He wrote this:
Obama is Indonesian.
My sources claim that he was adopted and that the Indonesian government is aware of this - so are Obama’s people who cut a deal with the Indonesian government to have the records suppressed.

Let me cut to the chase: if it was revealed that John McCain was adopted by a Panamanian, then returned to the states and assumed his birth name and citizenship, but then traveled on a Panamanian passport after the age of 18 -- and took steps to conceal those facts would anyone not accuse him of deception?
And if American Expat is correct, and the Congressman from American Samoa did make a deal with the Indonesian president in return for suppression of Obama's Indonesian records, would you not consider that deception?
What has Obama concealed? What proof do you have that Obama held an Indonesian passport? If you have such evidence, when did he obtain it, i.e., prior to his first trip to Indonesia at age 6? How do you know he traveled on an Indonesian passport after age 18? How did he get back into the US with his Indonesian passport? Did he acquire a student visa? When did he acquire his US passport?
You are making a host of unsubstantiated allegations and assumptions. What we do know for a fact is that Obama currently holds a US passport, which required him to provide proof of citizenship.

Yes, if that really did happen. I guess the seriousness of the charge outweighs the facts.

You might notice that I've used the word "if" consistently -- as in, "if" the media wasn't in the tank for Obama, the contradictions in his biography concerning Indonesia,including, but not limited to, never mentioning until recently that he traveled there, and on to Pakistan, in 1981, should have been a subject for intense scrutiny.
It hasn't, and there are many people who consider even speculation on the subject to be some form of irrational behavior, or to use your terminology, "baseless charges" -- even when they remain speculation.
I never used the term "baseless charges." My point is that you can make up all kinds of things without any real evidence. The NYT did it by insinuating that McCain had an affair with a lobbyist. It was reprehensible.
Obama's travel to Indonesia in 1981 to visit his mother and then onwards to Pakistan with his roommate has come under scrutiny--at least by the alternative media. I have no idea if Obama has been questioned directly by the MSM about the trip. If you are going to charge or suggest that he was engaged in some sinister activities or that he travelled on an Indonesian passport, you should provide some proof. I do know that if he tried to enter the US on an Indonesian passport, he would need a non-immigrant visa.
Doesn't every family? I can only imagine the hoops my ancestors jumped through to make sure I could be president when I grew up. Alas, I seem to have disappointed them.

You can't claim something is false if it has already been proven otherwise.
If that's so then why are we having threads like these? Everybody is claiming Obama wasn't born in the U.S. and nobody is offering any proof.

Once again, you use the word "charge" -- I have phrased everything as a question, and in the normal course of discussion, questions don't require proof (they wouldn't be questions otherwise).
You appear threatened by even the discussion of possibilities in this case, and tracking back, in your first response, you felt it necessary to cut and paste regs on dual citizenship, even though I hadn't mentioned it. Your responses to me, and others, are quite interesting, actually, and highly suggestive -- oops! I used the word suggestive, for which you require proof! I think I've got the hang of it now, but I'm not playing anymore, since I've things to do.
This is very hard to read. What exactly is this document? Adoption? School record?
Believe me, I so much want this to be true. But knowing the Clintons, who care about no one but themselves, they would be whacking and threatening and intimidating and bribing anyone and everyone to get the proof. Does she have it and is waiting until the end of October?
