NASHVILLE — Former Tennessee state Sen. John Ford has been sentenced to 14 years in prison on federal charges of wire fraud and failing to report more than $800,000 in payments from state contractors.

I got my wish. The two sentences are to run consecutively. That means the his current term ends on October 28, 2013. On October 29, 2013, he gets to start doing it all over again. Thet will put him out on October 29, 2029. That is assuming he gets no time off. He will of course, due to the time off guidelines used by the feds. He’s already been in 155 days. He’s got many more days to look forward to. Too bad, so sad.
