Off subject, but in the same vein, I wanted to share with you all what happened at my church this weekend. My wife was cantoring, and at the end of the mass our Pastor brought an altar server up who had just done her first mass. Then our Pastor introduced a newly engaged couple in the front row, noting how they had both once been altar servers too. Then he told the congregation that they were both Army Captains and had met each other while serving in Baghdad, and invited them to stand up and take a bow. They got a THUNDEROUS STANDING OVATION for a good five minutes solid.
Another display of patriotism you’ll never hear about in the drive by media that makes me proud to be an American!”

I to am so proud to be an American and so happy we all stood together, both Republicans and Democrats, to let our representatives know we were against the bailout! My hubby and I are going to celebrate with a special dinner tonight!
We are also proud to be a Freepers! I could not live without Free Republic! I became a member of the dollar a day club so know I am helping to keep FR going like so many of us are!

He held up a copy of pelosi’s speech and glared at it and said, “THIS is why the bill failed. She made it into a partisan matter, she criticizes people when she doesnt know what is going on, she doesnt listen to anyone, she just disregards others’ efforts. She is the Speaker of the most unproductive Congress EVAH.”
He went on and on for a full minute about her, and concluded by saying they will go back to work and try to devise a plan to help ease the crisis without penalizing the taxpayers.
It was a royally good performance by Rep. cantor!

The answer is “none”. As to how many I will put up in the future, the answer is still “none”. In my diverse southside neighborhood we have to deal with car break-ins, gang grafitti and vandalism on a regular basis, and also the occasional murder, rape, car-jacking, burglary and robbery. And all this without an election to whip the scuzzbuckets into a frenzy. I will save my ammunition for an attack on our home (which is more than a remote possibility). This does not make me a coward in my eyes, only one whom picks his fights — and it’s not going to be over a sign. Around here they won’t stop at just removing or defacing a sign and you can’t count on the police when your Prosecutor is a charter member of the Obama Truth Squad. Remember! The First Amendment in a big city only applies to Democrats. Go, Sarah!
Every major outlet is bemoaning the fact this was not passed, and in essence they are shocked. It will pass. It will get bigger.
