Battle Ground shows McCain steady at 48%!
(Excerpt) Read more at realclearpolitics.com ...
The Campaign scorecard has McCain winning the first 2 weeks and Obama the last 2. What McCain needs this week is for the markets to quiet down after the bailout bill passes, Gov. Palin to stand up to Plugs, and more aggessive counter-punches to Obama.
LOL - that's an excellent snapshot of what I've seen in abundance on here just this afternoon, let alone the last few days.
That true, but we read history for a reason - it often repeats itself. Over the past five Presidential elections, the greatest gap between Democrats and Republicans favored Democrats by 4 points, 39-35. That was in 1996, when Clinton actually won by 8 points, 48-41.
Perhaps there will be a tidal wave of new Democrats showing up to vote; in fact, that is the only assumption that would make the Gallup or Rassmussen numbers accurate. I doubt it, highly.

Agreed.
The story I read last week was, “Obama living in dreamland; thinks he will win in a landslide.”
Just because you THINK it is true doesn’t make it true. But they don’t mind putting it out there to make US afraid.

You should do what I’ve been doing. I tell Democrats I know that they can vote for McCain, it’s OK, he’s a Democrat. In this election, the Presidential candidates are all switched around, and there is no Republican running. The Republican is a Democrat, and the Democrat is a Marxist.
I'll tell you why, because unlike the phony polls we get to see their internals have bozo losing and losing big. The guy has lost support from Christians, lost support from a large group of women voters, voters who were going to vote Democrat but won't now, lost a large percent of the Hispanic vote(due to the fact Hispanics and Blacks don't get along, truth, whether you want to believe it or not) and, of course, a large percent of the male vote and 90 percent of the military.
Now tell me again why Rasmussen and Gallup's polls are so accurate? They aren't. I don't trust any polls except for the one on Nov 4.
This year, more than ever, the news media is in the tank for communists(read bozo)and that includes polling companies, including Rasmussen. Believe what you want, but bozo is going down in Nov.
“This is NOT good. Battleground always polls high for McCain. Isnt this the first one showing him behind? This thing is real. McCain is losing this fight.”
Back to DU, dummie.
What are you looking at Chicken Little? McCain’s up by 2! Take a pill and calm down.
The damage that Obama will cause this country and a future Conservative movement, may very well be beyond repair.
He will gut the military completely, pull our troops out of many foreign strongholds to use those funds to finance his Socialist schemes.
Schemes like free college to all the Po’ and “undocumented” aliens, soon to be permanent citizens, free to come and go at will and take our tax money with them.
In fact they already have, by being one of the largest groups of minorities that were given homes by Fanny May and Freddie. Most of them did not make even one payment and the bail-out will see that they keep them, free of charge.
Forget about a Republican majority ever again. With all these illegals, (over 20-30 million and more to pour over the border.) they will surely vote Democrat and make this country a permanent Nationalist Socialism ruled by the big city mob. The rest of us fools will hand over most of our income to fund this dead-beat society.
So you see, it really does matter this election who wins. This is THE final crossroads for America as we knew it!
“Not quite. You, however, do seem to be the type intolerant of dissent. Back to DU for you? Or will you allow us to have a discussion here on this discussion board?”
First of all, you incorrectly implied that McCain was down in the Battleground poll. He is not, he’s up 2. Secondly, all I have to do is follow your hysterical poll comments on your last 3 weeks of posting on FR to see you have an agenda. And finally, “tolerant dissent”?? That’s all I need to know about you, sister.
I’d read the same thing but also read that Zogby thinks McC is possibly going to win in a landslide....I’ll be glad when this election season is over....of course the race for 2012 will start the day after McC’s inauguration....
next time u want to pound in the bad news first...make sure you have the correct poll numbers!
I think that the biggest problem with Rasmussen is his method. He over samples Democrats by 39% to 33%. That is already a 6 point advantage for the Democrats before the result even comes out.
This poll, has been so deadly accurate over the last 12 years that they have consistently called it to within 1/2 of a percent average. Rasmussen on the other hand has been notoriously all over the place and inconsistent.
He does tighten his polls up about 2 weeks before the election. If anything, this will motivate our base and make them get out to vote to stop this Marxist/Stalinist Obama.
“This is NOT good. Battleground always polls high for McCain. Isnt this the first one showing him behind? This thing is real. McCain is losing this fight.”
Pretty sure you would be the one that needs to “get a grip” The only poll that matters is the one on election day.
