I will not speak ill of the dead. Newman was a good actor, stayed faithful to his 2nd wife and did much charity work. Other than that, he was socialistic in nature and the evidence is out there.

I did not post this to speak ill of the dead. My main purpose was to remember a good man whose memory was slandered by Newman. That being said, I have no qualms speaking ill of the dead. Yes, Newman did charity work. You can decide whether it’s absolution for the injustice he did to the Faulkners or, in the case of his fervent position on Viet Nam, one million dead Cambodians. There will be no discussion of Newman’s sins in the MSM or thought of in it the general public consciousness, even though the “evidence is out there”. Merely accolades for his acting ability. That’s why I am part of the Free Republic. It reminds us what is truly important.
