During Fridays post-debate coverage on MSNBC, Chris Matthews portrayed Barack Obama as appearing "more presidential" while he complained that John McCain "was crunched over, almost grumpy in physical manner," as he contended that McCain "may not have been presidential." Matthews also complained that McCain did not look at Obama at all during the debate, a theme which Matthews touched on repeatedly that night. Matthews: "[McCain] may not have been presidential, however. Not once tonight, in an hour and a half, did he look at his opponent. He was crunched over, almost grumpy in his physical manner. I think a lot of people will take that body language as contemptuous of his opponent. They wont like it. Barack Obama, on the other hand, who kept agreeing with McCain, over and over again, saying I agree with the point you made, I agree with the point you made, looked more presidential, although I believe on points, he gave away too much."
Matthews also characterized McCain as "troll-like" and "grumpy," and asked if Americans "really want to put up with four years of that," and described McCain as seeming "really contemptuous" of Obama. Guest John Heilemann contended that McCain "hates Obama." Matthews: "Do people really want to put up with four years of that? Of sitting there angrily, grumpily, like a codger? Like, like, I dont want to push it too far, but didnt he seem really contemptuous of his opponent? Do you want to put up with four years of that?"

Sounds like Chrissy got that tingle in his leg again.
it was man vs boy. Clinton looked presidential. Obama ain’t no Clinton.
If Chris Matthews ratings continue to drop, he´ll be another guy going to work for the Obama Campaign Headquarters
Just ignore him.
Chrissy was only doing the necessary spade work MSNBC required him to do to prop up 0bama after he lost the debate.
New movie:
How Crissy Got His Wet Spot back
'Doll-Like' Matthews was 'bent over,' Obama 'Looked Prissydential'
Obama’s giggle when McCain compared him to Bush was another thing that set the birdies chirping for Chrissie.
NBC has no shame.
It’s staffed (by Russert) with Irish-Catholic liberal Democrats.
Totally unprofessional.
Hey Chris, we are giving you an all expense paid 5 year stay at the Hanoi Hilton including exercise room, personal masseusse etc. Can’t wait to see how limber you are upon return.
again , he looked “crunched” over because of the war injuries, which Matthews unconscious at least forced him to acknowledge with the awkward “crunched over “ ( as in bones that were crunched in beatings) rather than the apropos “scrunched.”
Making fun of McCain’s physical handicaps due to his yrs of torture.
Real nice.
WTF is wrong with Matthews?
And some morons watch this crap?
Msnbc? Chris, the unmanly Matthews?
Among other things, he's a crass little man.
It’s a lot worse than a tingling leg..... Chrissy has a raging hard-on for Obama, just like Andrew Sullivan and Keith Olberdork.
They are completely beyond the reach of rational discussion of evidence and analysis.
As for “crunched over” I guess Chrissy likes making fun of victims of torture whose shoulders will never be right again, but I did not see any “crunched over” so once again the loathsome Chrissy Matthews is issuing grotesque exaggerations to suit his own political agenda.
I’m surprised he was able to stop enjoying hearing himself talk long enough to once again make himself sound as stupid as everone thinks he really is.
And, Obama’s condescending arrogance in referring to Sen. McCain as “John” didn’t play well, at all, here among the great unwashed...
McCain didn’t look at him? I wouldn’t, either, in the same role. As long as the inexperienced upstart continues to pretend to the throne, I’d ignore him, too.
McCain did get in a zinger about not having a seal, yet. That was good for a chuckle...
lol....
