After hitting the road and talking to people I think that the debate probably benefited McCain slightly. It is all about what it comes down to in the end.
It is interesting getting out there and talking with the general public.
I remember after the GOP Convention, McCain gave what many labeled a “flat” speech, but it ended up resonating well with the independent voters. I think he was (rather successfully) trying to repeat that tone for the debate.
