VERMONT -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent a letter to Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, cofounders of Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc., urging them to replace cow's milk they use in their ice cream products with human breast milk, according to a statement recently released by a PETA spokeswoman.

"PETA's request comes in the wake of news reports that a Swiss restaurant owner will begin purchasing breast milk from nursing mothers and substituting breast milk for 75 percent of the cow's milk in the food he serves," the statement says.

PETA officials say a move to human breast milk would lessen the suffering of dairy cows and their babies on factory farms and benefit human health

okay........they are going to hook up nursing mothers to pumps? I can just imagine the sex harrassment lawsuits if there are men working there, and you have rows of topless females exposed while they contribute their breast milk.

I see room for Margaret Atwood to write a sequel to “The Handmaid’s Tale”. This time she can focus on women used like farm animals to satisfy the patriarchy’s need for ice cream.

Suffering? BS! What about all the poor women that will suffer from it? *imagines human dairy farms and shudders* Women aren’t meant to have to produce that much milk, unlike said cows.

Also, the idea of having breast milk in it is icky.

“PETA officials say a move to human breast milk would lessen the suffering of dairy cows and their babies on factory farms and benefit human health.”

Classic example of not thinking through to the next and unavoidable step. So, what happens to all these dairy cows that are no longer used to produce milk? Does PETA plan to buy them all and furnish them with adequate pasture and supplemental feed in the winter, and veterinary care, and how about their reproductive rights, and just think how big those herds of non-productive cattle will become in no time at all.

PETA is going to care for all the no longer abused, and no longer productive cattle?

The reality is all those food producing animals would not exist if they weren’t used for food, or to produce food.

And what would they do with all the extra kids produced by continually nursing mothers? Sell them off for veal like calves?

Obviously the idiots at PETA have no idea how much milk a cow produces on a daily basis.

Dairy Cow Facts

‑An average Holstein cow that is milking weighs about 1200 lbs and a Jersey milk cow weighs between 700 and 1000 pounds.

‑A dairy cow consumes between 25 to 50 gallons of water a day and can eat around 100 lbs of feed a day.

‑A cow has a total of 32 teeth: 8 incisors on the bottom front and 6 strong molars on the top and bottom of each side to grind their food. Cows have no teeth on the top front which enables them to graze forages better.

‑One gallon of milk weighs 8.6 lbs.

‑Milk is 87.5% water.

‑Some dairy cows give over 100 lbs. of milk daily. That's almost 12 gallons of milk a day!

‑Around 400‑500 gallons of blood passes through a cows mammary system in order for them to produce 1 gallon of milk.

Great, who ever came up with this idea, put them 2 in a stall with the automatic milker. Lets see how long they’ll stick with this idea.

Pam Anderson is the reason for many people deciding to home-school their children. Too many like her and the country gets too moron-heavy and capsizes.

Okay, we are going to have to put our minds together and come up with some new Ben and Jerry flavors in honor of their impending switch to human breast milk.

What about Blueberry Boob Crunch? Coconut Cantaloupe? Mammary Melon? Mocha Mounds? Hillary Swirl with nuts?

You know the flavor Cherry Garcia in honor of Gerry Garcia? Surely there's a catchy name for a flavor in honor of Dolly Parton out there.

True. My only thought was that she could possibly supply a large amount of milk to help them test the product.
