The values are key. Lack of experience can be fixed. Lack of values cannot.
So Ms. Parker gets out there and suddenly because she says what the Liberal media wants to “report”, wants to hear, Ms. Parker gets her words published, repeatedly and or quoted repeatedly with greater frequency in a few days than she has had previously in her entire career.
Maybe, like Mr. Brooks, she is vying to become the liberals most loved “conservative”.
The way the press is pushing this today makes me think Obama did worse than I originally thought last night.
Kathleen who?
Send her a case of Cringe; I’m sure that she’s going to need it.
Or less. I don't remember anything about her in the past, and I don't forsee a brighter future for her after this.
A skeleton covered with morbid skin; has to be a leftist.
What’s a liberal that runs with the crowd you do doing here?
Just Curious.
If so, the answer is: they're part of my family. You can choose your friends; you can't choose your family. All I can do is promote my point of view and try not to get into too many arguments at Thanksgiving. Doesn't always work. In this instance, I directed them to the blog entries showing how CBS deviously tried to make Sarah Palin look foolish and confused by selective editing.
Touche!
Since when do columnists , conservative or otherwise guide policy.
Completely untrue. I'm rather taken aback by the nascent cult of Palin, but my vote for McCain was never in question. I don't even really dislike Palin, I just don't get the adolation or why she is in any way deserving. IMHO, there were far better picks.
Just curious, but who the hell are you to question Peggy Noonan’s conservative credentials? I’ve been a fan of Peggy’s since the Reagan days. Anyone who says she’s anything but a conservative is politically ignorant.
Gee, I guess I should have thought about just who the hell I am before I questioned Noonan’s boneheaded statement concerning Palin’s credentials to be VP. Seems like Reagan said a little something about never saying ill towards a fellow republican. Now that’s what you might call being politically ignorant.
I love Kathleen Parker’s contempt for feminist woman-worship, and I can see how she would be skeptical of Palin, but she should not have written this piece at this time. Palin will certainly remain the nominee. If she does well in the debates, those hostile MSM interviews will be forgotten.
Kathleen Parker (yawn). I think she is playing a bit of a game here. I think she’s decided that McCain is going to lose, and she wants to go back and be the one to say “see I told you so,” as if she took some brave bold position and then the party didn’t follow her advice. It reeks of self-importance and self-promotion. Drop Palin? Now? It would ruin McCain. Would bring his judgment and entire campaign into question.. credibility, all of it.
Kathleen Parker has the interests of only one person in mind in writing her column: herself.
