The comment everyone is talking about, except RCP.com edited out the dramatic pause and uh's while Ubama tried to read the soldier's name on his bracelet!! Transcript doesn't do the moment justice. :-)

I think this closing piece of globalist, anti-Americanism will hurt him much worse. If Obama had a point, then that would mean no one wants to immigrate to the USA anymore, right? The number that wanted to come to American when Zero Sr. came, would pale in comparison to the number we see coming here now. Obama's logic isn't logical. The world will like us again and not hurt us when they see and believe we are as weak and toothless as they are? No thanks:

And in the '60s, he wrote letter after letter to come to college here in the United States because the notion was that there was no other country on Earth where you could make it if you tried. The ideals and the values of the United States inspired the entire world. I don't think any of us can say that our standing in the world now, the way children around the world look at the United States, is the same. And part of what we need to do, what the next president has to do -- and this is part of our judgment, this is part of how we're going to keep America safe -- is to -- to send a message to the world that we are going to invest in issues like education, we are going to invest in issues that -- that relate to how ordinary people are able to live out their dreams.

Notice at the very end when Obama says, “I've got a bracelet too”...

He has to LOOK at the bracelet for the NAME! You can see it clearly in the video.

What’s funny is that I don’t think the rest of the world could really care less if we spend more money on education or not... As you mentioned they wouldn’t still be coming here if they all hated us THAT much!

I couldn’t agree more. Not to mention Ayers was blowing up our country during the “great” 60s.

Indeed!! In fact, if “the world” [makes quote marks with fingers] is so upset with America, then why aren’t droves of people leaving the country to escape the horrible-ness of the USA?! Instead, the reverse is happening, as it has for years and years, immigrants coming to this country because fundamentally, America is still ‘that shining city on a hill’ for millions (dare I say billions?) of dreamy eyed people wanting better lives for themselves and their children.

It’s quite obvious Obama is still running for President of the World, and not POTUS, like John McCain is!
