John McCain wins the first presidential debate
Kansas City Star ^ | 9/26/2008 | Yael T. Abouhalkah

John McCain exceeded my expectations and narrowly did better than Barack Obama in the first presidential debate Friday night.

...

He was not deferential to Obama, who made the mistake of saying too many times "Sen. McCain is right" about several issues.

McCain didn’t because the RAT’s cash cow, FAnnie Mae, was off limits in order for W to get the money he needed for the WOT. That was agreed upon behind closed doors.

I’d pick Bobo to play on my basketball team but I’d want Mr. McC. as my team’s coach.

bambi’s not competent enough to pick up the towels in the gym after the game.

God PLEASE ensure this country has taken it’s prozac and paxil and lexapro and effexor and trazadone and haldol EXACTLY as prescribed AT LEAST 2 weeks prior to this nation’s election!

Well, not according to Frank Luntz’ focus group on Foxnews. What a bunch of idiots! This country is in deep doodoo if these people are voting.

Unfortunately, they are.

Don't ever expect him to take the last shot.

A draw, pure and simple. McCain was his usual strong self. Barry held his own. Unfortunately, this was supposed to be a debate where McCain buries Obama because of the foreign policy focus. That didn’t happen. Truthfully, it was kind of a bore. Kind of like a highly hyped heavyweight bout that goes the 15 rounds and the boxers hold each other for most of it.

“The question in November is just how serious is this mental illness crisis in America?”

Perhaps, but another important factor is ACORN and the impact liberal voter fraud will be.

His word for me is no longer respected

That happened for me when he said Stevens had the better of the argument in the Heller decision.

So did Dick Morris. So that means the Krauthammer is wrong as he has been lately.

I was talking about Obama too. Obama doesn’t wear one of those bracelets, so he doesn’t know the name printed on it very well. His words were pure theater.

McCain cleaned his clock. Obama looked defensive and out of his depth. All he had was the “8 years of Bush and McCain” strategy, and Mac turned it right around hime, implying Obama is stubborn like Bush.

Well, technically he didn't stutter.

He just stammered a lot. *<];-)

He got in some hemming and hawing, too.

“Krauthammer said it was a ‘draw’ but BHO is the winner.” He has been particularly testy of late, but this...is he smoking something?

WRT Frank Lutz’s focus group, what a bunch of bozos! This one woman said something to the effect that McCain kept talking about what he had done in the past, and she wasn’t interested in that, she was interested in the future. It’s about a FOUNDATION, and EXPERIENCE, moron, the stuff that informs your FUTURE decisions!! McCain has it, Nobama doesn’t!

I’m watching these people again, and I can’t believe what I’m hearing.
