Leherer just nailed Obama and got the umumumum....on energy policy, Obama saying how we might ned to make changes in energy, switches to midicare in midsentence, weirdly, says it’s because he opposes Bush policies, Leherer loses it, tell me in the middle of a huge financial crisis which has yet to be resolved, how does this afect our country...Mccain, veterans, ediucation, Obama...nationalised healthcare, and run in terror from Irag

I like Lehrer’s approach. Let them go at it.
Enough of false debates.
Lehrer is letting McCain be McCain.

I respectfully disagree. Lehrer said right up front that he was going to ask questions about the economy because he felt that had national security implications. Believe me, I detest the MSM, but I think Jim Lehrer played this right down the middle. I can’t really find fault with his moderation of the debate.

As for the two debaters, I thought McCain was direct and candid, and Obambi was glib and allusive.
