I swear that sometimes it's folks here on FR that still give me faith in our Republic. It's kinda like Timex (obscure reference may be before your time) "it takes a beating, but keeps on ticking". LOL.

Can’t read about Timex without thinking of an ad they did back in the 50’s with John Cameron Swezey, when tv was live. A Timex watch was mounted on an outboard motor to show just how tough a beating it could take. Sure enough, the watch flew off the motor into the tank. Live and in black and white. Swezey could not stop laughing and they cut back to the show.
