What Really Went Down in the Cabinet Room Today (Obama started screaming?) POSTED LAST NIGHT

From Team McCain....

To Interested Parties:

To address our current financial crisis, John McCain suspended his campaign and returned to Washington, D.C., today to help build a bipartisan consensus for a proposal that would protect the American taxpayer.

Despite today's news reports, there never existed a "deal," but merely a proposal offered by a small, select group of Members of Congress. As of right now, there exists only a series of principles, including greater oversight and measures to address CEO pay. However, these principles do not enjoy a consensus in Congress.

At today's cabinet meeting, John McCain did not attack any proposal or endorse any plan. John McCain simply urged that for any proposal to enjoy the confidence of the American people, stressing that all sides would have to cooperate and build a bipartisan consensus for a solution that protects taxpayers.

However, the Democrats allowed Senator Obama to run their side of the meeting. That did not work as the meeting quickly devolved into a contentious shouting match that did not seek to craft a bipartisan solution.

At this moment, the plan that has been put forth by the Administration does not enjoy the confidence of the American people as it will not protect that taxpayers and will sacrifice Main Street in favor of Wall Street.

The bottom line is that as of tonight, there are not enough Republican or Democrat votes for the current plan. However, we are still optimistic that a bipartisan solution will be found. Republicans and Democrats want a deal that will protect the taxpayers.

Tomorrow, John McCain will return to Capitol Hill where he will work with all sides to build a bipartisan solution that protects taxpayers and keeps Americans in their homes.

THE POSTER SAYS HE IS IN THE MEDIA AND IS ON A MEDIA LIST WITH THE MCCAIN CAMPAIGN

“Are you familiar with Argentina? Young people there throw flaming shit and are considered heros by the old folks. Financial system failure got the ball rolling in that direction.”

Are you familiar with the US Revolution? Alot of people were shooting at the British troops and the old folks considered them heros too. And if what you have to throw is flaming feces then good for them.

“Did he need to suspend his campaign for that?”

He suspended certain aspects of the campaign, which had degraded into pointless tit for tat namecalling via 30 second TV ads anyway. McCain is a man of action and this is just a different way to campaign that puts him more in his element.

Prediction: McCain shows up tonight in MS. Obama has lost days of practice time that he sorely needed, and the topics will be all jumbled up from what was expected. McCain just made it far more likely that he will shine and Obama will crash and burn in this debate.

A week ago I would have said Obama would probably recite rote answers and hold his own in the first debate. Now I think McCain has a 50% chance of a knock out punch, if he shows up. If he doesn't show up, he still probably has gained overall from this entire episode.

Charles Krauthammer remarked right after mccain announced his campaign suspension, "How many hail Mary passes can one may throw in a single campaign?" (Referring to: 1) supporting the iraq war 2) staying in the primaries when he was seen as dead, 3) picking Sarah Palin.

But by last night Krauthammer was beginning to see the possibilities of Mccain's move. He is still not sure it's going to work but his comments were not as negative as before.

McCain's moves here have stirred the pot. Obama is off message. He's scrambling. Obama has never been good at handling curve balls. Sure he may swing wildly and make a hit, but he's far more likely to strike out when the unexpected occurs.

And that's precisely why he cannot be president.

Perhaps you could have the moderator go back and highlight the part that indicated that Obama was screaming. Your title is misleading.

Your post (with my title) is so good that I’m sending as an all-send email.

Want to make any changes or add any footnotes?

Excellent! Thanks.

That you are pro nationalizing busness and industry is not a personnal attack, it just tells me that you are great troll material.

I refuse to be scared into having my freedoms taken away when there is a better way to solve this problem.

I think Obama is going to have to talk to himself tonight. Or perhaps he could debate Biden.

In the event there is NO agreement and McCain goes down there tonight, he needs to figure a way to get his point and the free-market approach across. He needs to be energized and, yes, show a flash of anger about what is happening, why the Paulson-Dodd-Frank plan is bad for the country, and what the solution best for the country is. He needs to take no prisoners.

I think you have just described how McCain will present himself during the debates. He is no doubt up to his eyebrows with Obama’s foolishness.

If you watched the O’Reilly interview with Obama, it can be seen that Obama has cleaned up his pattern of speech and the um’s and ah’s are no longer as prevalent or noticeable.

He will not perform as badly in a debate/discussion format again.

Is it possible that the “ums” and “ahs” were edited?
