CBS New anchor Katie Couric ordered staff to drop all references to "Governor" or "Gov." from her interview with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. When a staff member pointed out that in other venues, Couric and CBS News had referred to Governor Palin's opponent, Joe Biden, using his title of "Senator" or the abbreviation, Couric, according to a CBS News editorial aide, sought approval from CBS News management to drop the "Governor" reference during her broadcast interview with Palin that began on Wednesday night.
"It's not true," said another CBS News source. "We treat everyone the same."
But, in fact, that's not the case: as late as September 22, CBS News and Couric -- even on the CBS website -- used Biden's honorific. Here is an excerpt from the transcript of a Couric interview with "Sen." Biden:

well said.
It shouldn’t. Most of the public knows these f###s are in the tank for Obama. All Palin has to do is not look awful and it comes out a net win for her while further discrediting the MSM. Yes, it is a close political calculation, but that is how it works out.
I love this woman more and more every day. The more they insult her, the more money I send to McCain / Palin 2008.
I can respect charlie gibson’s knowledge of the issues. that interview was worth watching. Remember that he was the one who challenged Obama on the effect of capital gains taxes during the primary debates.
but Katie who? I didn’t bother watching that one just as I didn’t bother watching mccain on the View.
Is she Perky or Stumpy? Without Photoshop, it looks like Stumpy takes it.
Didn’t even watch it - Katie Couric is a loser. If fact, I don’t watch anything anymore other than Fox - don’t need the aggravation. Hopefully many people feel this way, and the ratings of all these outrageously unfair shows goes to zero.
Tony Blankley had a good article today about the media actively campaigning for Obama.

Thank you. I reserve the “c” word for who truly deserve it. Kommie Katie is one of them.
Unfortunately, it get spewed all over the rest of the MSM, for all the ignorant Obamaites to see....
Couric looks bad because she is. Hers is an agenda driven personna that she must maintain in order to keep getting the free cheese.
The difference is in knowing what is right and living it, versus 'feeling' something un-natural is right (gay marriage, anyone?) and living this lie to the level of a crusade.
Hating free enterprise, profit, and just about anything traditionally 'American' has been called socialist/communist in the past but is best known today as the 'Green Movement'. Nothing wrong with clean energy; everything wrong with dismantling a society trying to acheive it.
As it weighs on the face of many libs, this lie-to-life takes a visible toll. Katy is a perfect example.
But we can still refer to her by her official title: “Perky B*tch” Katie Couric? Just asking.....
The worse they treat her, the higher her stock grows. Many women and men can relate to the situation of trying to maintain composure and stay on top of things while being humiliated by some graceless snob, and Sarah does so well at this.
She should move on to NBC and CNN, just to remind the world what opinionated creeps run the networks
She's one of us!
The MSM like Hollywood run in packs. The McCain ad of wolves in Alaska has more truth than one imagines. If Katie applied for her job and tipped her hand that she was a Democrat then that would be bonus points. People like this see Palin as some knuckle dragging Neanderthal because they aren’t running through the 24/7 abortion mills or frequenting the latest shrinks to tell them how really with it and funky their new age lives are. Pathetic.
From patriots, to partisans, to... operatives
Lets face it: most of the people in Congress are stiffs. Congress is a place where we send mediocre men to be Earl Scheibed into something kinda vaguely consequential, and politics is just another bull$hit profession where my esteemed colleague means this pr*ck here.

Yes, And she should add a navy blue dress with the beret to her wardrobe as well! Oh Bill ... Kate called...
