Couric Diminishes Gov. Palin

CBS New anchor Katie Couric ordered staff to drop all references to "Governor" or "Gov." from her interview with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. When a staff member pointed out that in other venues, Couric and CBS News had referred to Governor Palin's opponent, Joe Biden, using his title of "Senator" or the abbreviation, Couric, according to a CBS News editorial aide, sought approval from CBS News management to drop the "Governor" reference during her broadcast interview with Palin that began on Wednesday night.
"It's not true," said another CBS News source. "We treat everyone the same."
But, in fact, that's not the case: as late as September 22, CBS News and Couric -- even on the CBS website -- used Biden's honorific. Here is an excerpt from the transcript of a Couric interview with "Sen." Biden:

But not surprising. Why is the McCain campaign letting MSM whores do this? No more weeks in advance exclusives! Give interviews LIVE, and on short notice, and to multiple different reporters.

I kinda alluded to this in another thread. The campaign needs to get her out there on the stump, LIVE, and talking only to local media.
The MSM will distort and twist any Republican message to Dem advantage, so why even bother with these MSM interviews, or indeed the MSM at all? Focus on rallies, speeches, town halls, ads, talk radio, the debates, the internet, and dealing with Fox News.

Local media is far more effective in reaching the voters in the places that count - swing states. I’ve also noticed that local media is far less biased.
This title is wrong, Katie Couric is incapable of diminishing Governor Palin. Katie might not treat her with proper respect but this only diminishes Katie.
