Federal indictment of Governor? (Blagovich - IL)
WJBC: The Voice of McLean County ^ | 09/25/2008 | Metro News Service

Posted on 09/25/2008 6:00:43 PM PDT by loungeSerf

Could Illinois Governor Blagojevich suffer the same fate as convicted former Governor George Ryan? Sources tell CBS 2 News Chicago that Federal agents claim to have enough evidence to indict Blagojevich on fraud and conspiracy charges. However, the report says the investigators aren't the ones who make the decision to prosecute. That would be up to U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and the Justice Department in Washington.

The IRS has sent three teams to go over all of Blago’s tax returns. Geee, I wonder if Tony Rezko has rolled over on Blago?

Hey he’s a democrat what’s the problem here? There are only indictments handed down when there is a Repubican involved.

Is this the Daley machine using Fitz and his minions as a way of telling Blago to keep his mouth shut and do as he is told?

Personally, I think Rezko is singing like a canary & no way they can ignore that. There has been talk of this even before he got re-elected, so I'm not surprised, but am hopeful this goes further!

We in Illinois invoke the name of the Deity on a daily basis in hopes that this finally happens...

Blago fits right in with Bill Ayres, Rev. Wright, Tony Rezko, Emil Jones - all corrupt, all BHO’s inner circle. See a pattern here?

If this is true then Illinois will take the lead from Maryland as the state with the most ex-governors in the big house, with New Jersey holding steady in third place.

I think they are ready to cut Blago loose, he's just not who they want in the Daley organization.

If there ever was true justice in Il. it would take the lead for most politicians ever in the bighouse!!!

I know most people in Il. are ready for him to be gone from Springfield.

Oh wait, he is always gone, he flies back to Chicago on a daily basis, never stays in the Govs mansion in Springfield. We get to foot the bills for him flying back & forth!

Emanuel: Obama helped elect Blagojevich

Monday, Jun 16, 2008

* I don’t recall ever hearing about this, but the Republicans now have an avenue to directly connect presidential candidate Barack Obama to our embattled, investigated, unpopular and all but humiliated Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Quick, someone tell Fitzgerald that Blagojevich mentioned to someone that Valerie Plame works for the CIA. Then he’ll really go after the governor.
