It's funny, because when I first heard about this decision I thought that it was a political stunt and that McCain looked like he was chickening out.

I guess it was a shrewd move (not sure why), but it didn't hit me the right way at all.

I thought he was making this move too late and too close to the time of the debates. As has been proven today, there's work still to do on a deal or partial deal. McCain talks a good game about pork in many bills. Now is his chance to prove it to the voters.

if voters are going to let single actions, single words or speechs or gaffes or dress or lipstick color decide who they vote for , then we do have a very stupid citizenry...

are Americans that shallow to change their minds every two days?..(Yes, apparently)..

Same feelings here. McCain’s move makes him look good while Obama just wants to take the Oath.
