BROCKPORT, NEW YORK--Pollster John Zogby hinted Thursday (September 25) that he sees a McCain landslide as a real possibility.
According to the Rochester (NY) Democrat and Chronicle:(O) ne of the countrys top pollsters thinks the race will end in an electoral landslide.
John Zogby, president of Zogby International, told a group of businesspeople today that its up to Democratic Sen. Barack Obama to convince voters to go with him. If hes not successful, the country will likely vote for a comfortable old shoe, that being Republican Sen. John McCain.
Despite the books Obama has written, Americans are still asking, Who are you, where are you from?, Zogby said.
Also on Thursday, Zogby released his latest poll, which found that a slim majority favored McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin, over Obama and running mate Joe Biden. A week earlier, Obama and Biden held the lead.
“Landslide?
Doubtful, but we have the momentum.”
I think it will be a landslide for McCain.
President Barack Hussien Obama
Say it. How does it sound? There are still lots of Americans who love America. Start with the foreign sounding name. That’s a problem. Now, throw in that every time Obama digs at Palin’s lack of experience, many Americans think of Obama’s own thin resume.
Now consider all the uncomfortable things surrounding Obama. His associates, his non-voting record, his wife. The racist passages in his book.
Consider gaffe master Biden, and Bill Clinton’s “support”.
Finally, throw in the Bradley Effect.
Obama will lose big.
That's exactly who Obama reminds me of.
ha! I love that avatar - but where the heck did it come from??

Also predicting a massive landslide with record numbers of Americans voting. There are more Americans who love this country than those who hate her.
Now that Obama has shown his mettle, or lack of same, it’s time to re-emphasize that fact as so beautifully expressed by our next VPOTUS at the GOP convention.
“And Bill Clinton’s support of McCain really has me spinning!”
I’d slam him for being so incredibly shameless,...but it’s to our advantage! That guy is such a piece of work! All of my lib friends are probably going to go nuts and hate him if McCain/Palin wins ~ and I’m going to have to stick up for Bubba? It just ain’t right! ;0]
Sadly, they number in the tens of millions.
One big difference this time: Al Gore was at least realistically qualified to be President while Baraq isn't even close. I think there is a sizeable bloc of voters who like the novelty of Obama but when push comes to shove will reassess Obama, see him as too big a risk, and move to McCain column. What makes conservatives dislike McCain is exactly what makes him an acceptable alternative to independents and conservative and moderate Democrats.
I've mostly kept quiet on this point because I enjoy watching the media help America, but even a reporter must have noticed by now. They thoroughly vetted Governor Palin and let us know every possible flaw in her record, right down to her husband's DUI 22 years ago. Even someone who had never heard of her can say that they know the potential risks from choosing Governor Palin.
In contrast, the media love 0bama so much that they have shown their love by never questioning him, and it is painfully obvious even to his supporters that they have relatively little idea of what unpleasant surprises might be lurking in his background. Thank you biased media!
Late Undecideds broke for Ford, because he was a proven quantity in a bad world. He barely lost Ohio and the election to Carter and had over 240 electoral votes including Illinois. Unlike Obama, Carter won Southern States.
McCain is in a much better position than Ford was, and if the late decider's break for proven McCain, he Wins.
Excuse me...but I do not need zogby to tell me this bit of news.
This has been the deal the whole time. But even more so, since Mrs. Todd Palin came on board.
;-)
ROFL!!! Excellent Reference. Peter Sellers was great in that movie.
Bears repeating.
I've never liked Bill Clinton in any way, but he is fun to watch. It's all about him and his power, and he sees a McCain win as the path to one more stint in the White House. I'll take the help from him!
That’s the next 40 days. Does McCain or Obama (and the media) get to define Obama? Go Get ‘Em MAC!
Someone that got some things WRONG in the first one..
But will not admit it..
its like that with RAPPERS..
They are all about posturing, making noises, walking around and re-posturing.. with whores dancing in suggestive ways.. its all highly political..
It’s Zogby.
I’ll believe when I see it, and not a moment sooner.
Best laugh of the day. You are right, who’d believe we’d have to stick up for Bill Clinton.
“I believe that Zogby is probably on the right track here.”
Has Zogby ever been right? Not being sarcastic, just trying to check his credibility.
Question: Mr. Gardner, do you agree with Ben, or do you think that we can stimulate growth through temporary incentives?
[Long pause]
Chance the Gardener: As long as the roots are not severed, all is well. And all will be well in the garden.
