NBC news reporter Luke Russert said he made a "dumb" misstatement on the Today Show Wednesday when he suggested that smart people supported Barack Obama for president. Almost immediately, Russert took a hazing in the Web world.

The only reason he has the job is Nepotism and a corrupt media. The only reason he has the job is the family name. It is a "brand name" in "trust". When the media boasts "most trusted man in America", look out, all journalists should be reporting FACTS. If they admit the others (even on their own staff) can't be trusted always...

I am going to take the high road here. He lost his Father and he is a young kid making mistakes. Some of us have been there. I'd be willing to cut him a great deal more slack if his 'explanation' hadn't been. essentially: "Yeah, I did it. So?"
The only thing he learned from this is that he has to hide his thoughts better so that those stupid drones won't get all upset.
