AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, Doctor of Democracy, and Chief of the Patriotism Police. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Thucydides quotes (Ancient Greek historians and author, 460-404bc)
_____________
Is this about acumulating political power (rio linda players the answer is yes) or is this about protecting our freedom.
Obama wants to play the violin at Barakopolis, we want to protect our freeedom, the politicians want to aquire more power, the journalists want to aquire more ratings and invitations to parties with those in power.
Remember when Homeland security was the super big bureacracy?
I really don’t know.
I know that I recognize fear mongering when I see it.
Every crisis offers you extra desired power

Oh joy. Our newly adopted cat just brought me another mouse. Then he walked away with it. My stomach isn’t feeling very good right now.
Common sense is not common.
The deziens of the beltway think we are really that stupid.
They do not understand we are no longer slaves to the Dan Rather Journalists.

Late thanks for the ping. :) Has it been a good show thus far.
Is it just me or is all this hoopla by Obama about multi-tasking asinine. Someone should remind him that he has already been hired to do a job (Senator) and should perform that job!
"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." HL Menken
We can start by going through that list of “Friends of Angelo”, ie those politicos who got nice interest-free loans when most of a house payment is interest.
I oncit was an accountant. At times the company would lend the employee money. Any interest charged less than the prevailing rate was considered income and I had to put that amount as taxable income on their W-2.
Did the fine, fine Dodd have this amount on HIS W-2 or this a House of Lords’ thing?
If this isn’t bribery than there is no such thing.
According to Wiki, Barney ran unopposed in 2006. Yet he still spent $1.6 million on the campaign, the highest amount ever.
And we want this man to help bail out banks...sheesh.
Bitter Clinger late bump!
Careful now, or you’ll spoil the good senses of the Sodomite Cheerleader.
