Depends on the problem. This is not the critical part of his speech, he also said “if you need me just call”.
Obama is no different then 90% of the entire senate. None of them know what to do so why go somewhere when you can be of no value.
“Just call me if you need me.”
This sounds like a real leader. “I’ll be out here running for president. Let me know if you think I can do anything to help the situation. Otherwise, I’ll just show up to vote present when the deal is ready.”
Not to be flippant, but all we can do is pray.
I say that because we’re in this mess because govt and greed on the part of borrowers, lenders, speculators etc. deliberately and cynically got us into this OR none of them knew what they were doing. Either way we’re screwed.
Just pray this is resolved in the way that hurts the innocent and non culpable the least. And whatever way that is, we won’t, of course, know what might have been an even worse solution or solutions.
