Let me tell you why this may be important. A hit piece was run on Sarah Palin with false info about the Alaska Independence Party. It was very professionally done, with a voice over actress. There was no disclaimer that it was an Obama commercial.
The video was sent to all the usual left wing suspects, and it went viral. The media printed the lies. When they discovered the truth, the NY TIMES retracted. But the damage had been done. That is what was intended.
Listen to the clips for an official Obama ad, the hit piece, and the voice of an actress in Chicago. If they are indeed the same, this will have David Axelrod's fingerprints all over it. Ethan Winner claims credit for the ad as a private citizen, not for anyone's campaign. He claims no association with Axelrod. He claims he "found" the actress through a talent agency because he liked her voice.
Winner's comments are interesting. Since he is in Los Angeles, he has plenty of talent from which to choose in his own back yard. If the voices are the same, why would he go to Chicago for the talent? Hmmm, who is in Chicago? Oh, yeah. David Axelrod is there.
If Axelrod is involved, I believe campaign finance laws may have been violated. If so, Obama needs to apologize and fire him.
That’s not the Axelrod Obumber knows.
That seems to be the same voice to my untrained ear.
Well, as a conductor and pianist with an ear trained to hear the one violin who made a sloppy entrance out of the entire string section, and to be able to let the soprano know she’s just ever-so flat on her high notes, I can tell you that it’s definitely the same voice.
Thanks for the input. If that is the case, Ethan Winner has lied about this woman not being someone who had done Obama commercials.
Someone on FR must have voice recognition software that might ne useful.

They certainly sound similar.
Isolating single words and listening for how they are pronounced and where the accenting lies might be helpful in making a more certain determination.

The closest thing I have to a sound editor I have on this box is a crappy copy of Winamp and it’s not exactly feature laden.
