Just saw the Palin Interview

Don't think we will be very happy with this. Looks like a heavily edited hit piece. This seems to be a mistake by McCain/Palin.

Couric said that the entire interview can be watched at cbs.com - cbs being cbs, they would pick her worst bits to show on the air.

"Sarah is definitely not ready for prime time."
You base this on one heavily edited interview from a network hell bent on destroying her?

After this week with Joe Biden’s goofs, who should be more concerned? Answer: Obama and Biden

I rarely if ever watch CBS news. Saw the edited interview. No problem. Couric tried to pull a question out of her &ss one of those gotcha questions asking specifics about McCain's history of reform and regulation besides the 2006 request for regulation of FM&FM. Palin indicated she would get those for Couric and get back to her.
Another thing is that when Couric was interviewing McCain today she put in Palin's mouth the risk of a Great Depression. But in fact in the interview it was Couric who had suggested that and Palin did not say yes but indicated it was a crisis situation. So Couric misrepresented that it was Palin who made the remark and caused McCain to stumble a bit suggesting to him 'whether it was appropriate for Palin' or something to that effect to suggest we are heading to a Great Depression if something is not done. Complete misrepresentation.

It may not be a mistake if they have source video. If Couric hacks it up, they can provide the original to other news outlets and play on media competition, pointing out how cBS hacks up news.

You’re still better off here than anywhere else in the world.
If the American economy tanks, those of other nations will tank even worse. The response of the economies of other nations to that of the U.S. will present an exponential curve.

Isn’t the McCain campaign treating her as if she’s not ready for prime time?

You are not correct! You are off base by about 6 feet and ready to be taged out at second.
When editing is place then nothing much is of value from it.
Wait to we see the real uncut data from this so called interview.

I agree that she was edited to look as bad as possible. But even then it wasn't that bad. A couple of gotcha questions in which her answers were clearly chopped off.
I'm hoping that the McCain camp has recorded these interviews and is going to one day soon compare their editing against the actual interviews.

What are you talking about? Her answers? Her attitude? Her looks? Her speech? WHAT? I thought Palin did fine in the Gibson interview. I thought she did fine in the answer to the Bush doctrine. Yet the leftist media managed to play that up for Hussein Osama's benefit.
Palin had 2 wobbly moments (Davis; not knowing McCain's record), and it seems the video was specifically edited to point that out and the leftist media will be hammering them home over the next weeks.
To: big black dog
I agree. The very end was not good where she kept hammering her about McCain’s reforms over the last 25 years. They seemed to make so that Sarah was thrown a bit and was not able to answer the question. Then she just said she would get back to her about it. Not a gaffe per se, but definitely something the MSM will crucify her for. Man... they just want to destroy Sarah...

"Isnt the McCain campaign treating her as if shes not ready for prime time?"
She has done countless townhall meetings and has been on the campaign trail as much as the other three candidates since being added to the ticket. She has done two interviews with people who clearly have it as their agenda to destroy her credibility.
Obama and Biden are the ones not ready for prime time. Neither of them can answer a question without a teleprompter without making complete fools on themselves and this is with the people asking the questions trying to help them.

Sarah is definitely not ready for prime time. She reminded me of Admiral Stockdale when he was picked as Ross Perots running mate. Palin had a few good responses, but Katie nailed her about not knowing McCains legislative record. And you think Biden or Nobama is ready for prime-time. You can't be series. :))))))
