The only debate in the minds of the American people now is in Washington regarding this financial crisis. Obama doesn't think it is important enough for him. "Call me if you need me" proves he thinks it is trivial.

The people do not think it is trivial.

It’s not that this isn’t “presidential”, it’s just that we already have a current President, and 98 other Senators who can do this work. John McCain should be trying to seal this election up so that we have strong leadership come January. WTF is he thinking with this stunt? Are the 98 other Senators and their aides not able to draft legislation?

Considering he has not voted very often anyway I doubt they will need him at all. If he’s not there than it’s how it’s been since he’s been Senator.

Palin shows up instead and cleans “Barry’s” clock with facts...

That would be quite a spectacle. If only....

I absolutely agree with what you said. According to Dimmiwits, I am an uneducated conservative. Doh!

He is NOT thinking! McCain is an idiot, and BO is going to clean his clock. It's over. Damn! The Messiah wins by default. The election was McCain's to lose, and he just did it.

Someone said there are over 300 million people in this country, and these two clowns are the best we can get for president? Pathetic!

Harry Reid said yesterday that McCain could be part of the solution. Now, he says McCain isn’t needed. Harry’s the one that’s not needed, just a waste of space.

Obama’s spokesmen have been saying that Obama can “multi-task”. Let’s see. He’s cramming for a debate and says, “if you need me give me a call”. How is that multi-tasking?

I’ve been torn about McCain’s decision, but now I think it was the right thing to do. He is still a Senator and he should help with this crisis. Meanwhile, Obama looks like he isn’t interested and doesn’t care.

Hello,

Just calm down, please.

A local radio host took your line today and got his ass handed to him by regular folks, here in St. Louis. He had to back down, after an hour, and declare that he is just jaded.

He is paid to be a senator and so is Bambi . They both should be involved in the clean up and not issuing press releases like Bambi. They will inherit this mess and Reid was mocking McCain yesterday for not being involved !

Wow, not Presidential, when the sitting President will be out in Jan, and the winner gets to inherit this problem, and as a sitting US Senator, and one who could possibly be inheriting the problem doesn't need to be there?

Are you nucking futs?

Holy crap! WTF is going on here with some long time FReeps? Look, I had issues with McCain, still do, but Palin gave me hope, and now this issue, which is mostly a Dem created problem and our guy is showing leadership and putting Country First, and you're throwing in the towel?

Have you even heard of strategy.

Holy crap (again), the campaign commercials (for McCain and now Congressional R's) coming to mind are piling up by the truck load by the minute!

Show some stones dude! Don't be the "Game Over Man" (Bill Paxton) from Aliens.

Been listening to the radio out west. Hearing this same thing all over the airwaves right now..Some coming from those that support him.

I'd bet a cup of coffee he decides to show up. If he don't there could be h*ll to pay for his campaign. Many are now asking, why not go back and help out if necessary, and go to the debate too?

People have become so cynically towards government, our leaders, and the banks/lending institutions that it's getting really brutal out here.

There are very few left that trust government, given the fact they were the one's that were supposed to be overseeing and regulating this disaster.

I am wondering if some type of negative information has been recently revealed somewhere in regards to this economic disaster, that would not play well for one or both of the candidates. Or is something else brewing behind closed doors in regards to the economy that has yet to be revealed?

The fact is even though this debate was supposed to be about foreign policy, most are now totally focused on the economy here at home.
