A Whiff of Oddity Eminating From the L.A. Times Poll
The bad news for McCain-Palin in the L.A. Times poll: Only 41 percent of respondents think Sarah Palin is qualified to become president. Forty-six percent say she's not qualified.
The good news for McCain-Palin in the L.A. Times poll: He leads among independents, 49 percent to 34 percent!
Yet Obama leads 49-45 among likely voters; Obama leads 46-44 among registered voters.
I really want to see a sample breakdown for this poll, because if McCain is winning independents by a wide margin and is still behind, that poll sample must have had a heck of a lot of Democrats.

“that poll sample must have had a heck of a lot of Democrats.”
Seems many polls have moved that slider up in just the last week.
Hmmmmm
Blacks in LA are wising up to Obama.
McCain leads by 15% among independents but trails by 4% overall? Yeah right.

"Hi there, Democrats."
"Obama was right. The yellow outfit and scintillating shade of Tangerine Kiss Glace pumped the polls"
"Course my lifetime membership in the Hair Club, and the Colon Health supplements have done wonders for me."
Maybe there was something to McCain’s logic of opening 50 campaign offices in CA yesterday...
Between the credit crisis, bankruptcies, billion dollar buyouts and billion dollar buyouts, the economy has emerged as issue No. 1 in the presidential race. Which candidate do you think will do the best job reviving the U.S. economy?
Poll Results:
John McCain (R) - 64.5%
Barack Obama (D) - 22.9%
Bob Barr (L) - 1.1%
None of the Above - 11.5%
Total Responses -

LOL.
It has always been -— win your party base, win the independents, you win the election...
Unless the GOP is staying home in droves, there is no way McCain loses with that kind of margin among indies.
Whoa! Which LA blacks are YOU talking to? I have a whole clan back there, and not a single one is "wising up to Obama".
Likely voters has always favored Republicans. This is the first poll I have ever seen showing the opposite.
