I will be posting what I said from an earlier post every time I see polls or posts that make us upset or wobbly. GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL .....

"Just came for Drudge and he has a picture of the smug black messiah making a fist like the black panthers! I still don’t believe this, NO WAY NO HOW....I’m getting a little nervous but GOD will help us win this battle. The Tsunami of evil spewed by the RATS and their accomplices is beyond anything I have EVER witnessed. I serve a God who deals with the impossible, I serve a MIGHTY God who deals severely with evil doers. I serve a God who listens to the cries of his people. I serve a KING who has the power to turn the hearts of people to do the right thing. I serve a MASTER who turns situations around... what satan meant for evil HE will turn it around for good. I have to believe I serve a MIGHTY GOD! Fix your eyes on Him don’t look at the situation, but put your faith in him. IF ever we needed Him most it’s now. Call upon him and he will answer. I’m NOT willing to surrender my COUNTRY over to Satan’s cronies yet! The SPIRITUAL fight has just began. Please, I implore you, FAST AND PRAY. This is the only way we can defeat the demons and their plans. PLEASE, PLEASE..God Doesn't need an army of millions but a handful of faithful believers who are willing to take a stand in the middle of the Storm by faith believing without wavering that God can do all things! Even this to turn an election to favor McPAL! Join me with prayer and fasting."

That’s my only minor concern with this move, that it might add to the hysteria.

That said, we’re probably beyond the point of that mattering.

McCain is doing the right thing and the country will be better off for it.

And, when profiling McCain, one must feel obliged to mention those billion-dollar savings and loan Senatorial skeletons, who, along with McCain, comprised the Keating Five: Alan Cranston (D-CA); Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ); John Glenn (D-OH); and Donald W. Riegle, Jr. (D-MI). Note, four Democrats and one Republican? In doing so, however, we must also note that Robert Bennett, Chief Counsel to the Democrats during the investigation, said that McCain should not be included in the investigation and that their was not evidence of any wrongdoing by Senator McCain.

Agree figtinJag. McCain again is placing action above words. Obama has NOTHING BUT words. Vague ones at that, and he keeps changing his position.

The Rick Davis-Fannie Mae issue is easy to refute in a debate. Davis' firm did in fact receive $15,000 in lobbying fees from Fannie Mae

It was not $15,000 in total. It was between $15,000-$30,000 a month.. It adds up to more than half a million dollars in total.

See: Atlanta Journal Constitution *pops* Last paragraph.

I thought the same thing. Maybe McCain is ill? Then I saw him on FOX. He was fine.

I also saw Obama at 5PM EDT, and these guys are not on the same page.

Obama may just have double crossed McCain. Doesn't make sense McCain would unilaterally pullout of the debate.

No to the attack adds right now. Save those for the final 3 weeks.
Don’t blow your load too early because the folks have a short attention span and memory these days.

Section9:

McCain’s fulfillment of his committment to speak at the Clinton Global Initiative has nothing to do with Bill.

Surely you realize that every time his statement that he will speak at the Clinton Global Initiative is played in the media, it reinforces McCain’s maverick brand and his theme of “Country First.”

It’s brilliant.

I am amazed at how many political tin ears there are on this site.

What is the overarching theme of this election cycle?

The above, and the rest of what you wrote in that post say pretty much all that needs to be said about this. Of course, that means I will ad some meaningless additional thoughts of my own:

1. If he wants to be President, I imagine he does not want to take office just as a Harry Reid/Nancy Pelosi-authored bomb detonates, so it is just commonsense to get to D.C. and stir the pot himself.

2. This crisis is the news. Ads do not mean anything up against actually headlining the current 24/7 news event.

3. This decision poses an "interesting" strategic dilemma for Teleprompter Jesus and his Astroturfers. As we have seen previously, they do not react well when the script is tossed out.

I think McCain has got something good if he uses his time in Congress to bring this bailout debacle front and center around the media. It is consistent with his Country First mantra, too.

Sorry. McCain's busy, debate Sarah...

From your keyboard, to God's ears. Let McCain offer that up. Or have windbag Joe debate Sarah instead. I think Sarah will do fine against Joe. She has principals, and in my mind, character is more important than intellect. Not that Joe out-smarts her....

“Today is the day McBrilliant became MCStupid. Did Ronald Reagan quit? NO. Not a good mood. America is looking for leadership. That’s why Senators never become president. We’re screwed.”

........

Believe what you will but this move validates his campaign message of “country first”. Putting politics aside, McCain is doing what he thinks is right and in doing so he’s showing leadership that this country hasn’t seen for a long time.
