This won’t help and looks desperate. Abraham Lincoln managed to campaign during the Civil War. FDR managed to campaign during the biggest war in our history. George Bush managed to campaign during one of the most important wars and biggest threats we have faced in the last 50 years. John McCain needs a time-out because some companies made some risky decisions.

I have a feeling the Obama campaign will run wild with the "John McCain can't do more than one thing at a time while even George W Bush could run the War on Terror and still take time out to debate Kerry".

Furthermore, John McCain is still obliging his friends, the Clintons, by showing up at their event tomorrow. He can make time for the Clintons, but he can't make time to debate in front of the American people. Way to go John!
