Just as was done on the "Immigration Bill" we have to make noise, if this country has to go "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" (which is a lie as it wont happen) then so be it. Perhaps you haven't seen this?

Before we blindly follow you like lemmings over the hill, please describe your qualifications in the economic and financial markets.
If any loans are to be bailed out, it should be owner-occupied properties of US citizens.
Speculators should not have their losses covered by the US taxpayer. Foreign speculators doubly so.
Are all the threads missing?
Oh yes, lets trigger a massive depression that will make the market crash in 1929 look like a picnic. Brilliant thinking.
Yes, they are. What happened?
Fine, you want to donate money go ahead, they are only saying this will collapse the country to scare you into bailing them out, remember, country club living is hard to part with and they don’t want to NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT, NO BAILOUT,

This is awesome...all the links I clicked on are now purple (i.e. “have been read”) ergo, I have read EVERY thread on FR! My goal is complete! Woo-hoo!
Long term investor here, I am well diversified and the financial/banking sector bail out doesn’t seem right to me, how many other sectors should get bailed out?
You're a GENIUS!!!
Wow!! We can’t even have an intelligent conversation. Please answer my question. What are your qualifications in the economic and financial markets??
I’m shocked at the number of freepers eating up the lie of collapse, no wonder the country is lost, there are no real men left, even among freepers like sheep the shout, bailout, bailout, wow.
I’ll support the bailout if Angelo Mozilo lets me borrow his Lamborghini on Saturday nights.
Look in a mirror and you will see the only dolt here.
What do you think is being bailed out? LOANS ON OWNER OCCUPIED PROPERTIES OF US CITIZENS (and illegal aliens who also bought homes with loans they didn't qualify for)
Or would you rather see all the banks collapse and what ever surviving financial institutions left holding those bad loans calling them in?
Somehow I don't think you will be all that concerned about them at that point. You'll be wondering where all your savings disappeared to, until you receive an IOU from former bank, then a payout of 5 cents on the dollar a year or two later.
Any taxpayer has the right to protect his money from unconstitutional use by the government. That is a fundamental right. No other qualification is required.
it is not a matter of donating money ...
it is a case of being robbed ...
and
we are expected to submit willingly ...
NO! NO WAY! Not today
Not ever

And, does it matter to you that Bernanke, one of the most knowledgeable individuals on the Great Depression and other crisis, is telling us that without this government intervention, the ENTIRE U.S. economy will freeze up? All sectors will take an immediate hit and it will take many, many years to recover. His comments are, given the additional complexity in the market, this failure will be much worse than the Great Depression.
Those that are jumping on the populist bandwagon to stop this legistration should be required to pass an economics test. At a minimum they should be educating themselves by listening to the hearings and reading from those knowledgeable on the subject!
In your opinion, will this $700 billion bailout ensure that the above does not happen?
On a scale of 1-10, what is the probability of success?
