CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- As if getting a DUI wasn’t enough, a man arrested for driving under the influence got in a lot more trouble at the police station.
Police stopped Jose Cruz on Route 60 in South Charleston Monday night for driving with his headlights off.
Then, he failed sobriety tests and was arrested.
When police were trying to get fingerprints, police say Cruz moved closer to the officer and passed gas on him. The investigating officer remarked in the criminal complaint that the odor was very strong.
Cruz is now charged with battery on a police officer, as well as DUI and obstruction.
Well, there's no case for bowel obstruction.
So now "cropdusting" is a crime...

I have been discussing this incident with some of my buddies now and we all agree this guy will prosper off of this maneuver for years!
Cruz walks into a bar, Hey Guys its Cruz Missile he crop dusted a cop while being charged with a DUI! Free Drinks the rest of the night!
I have to give a presentation. Asked that it be “sit down”. Intend to bring a muffle cushion. I’m old...it happens.

... but how many of us could press charges against someone who farts in our presence.
To me this is another example of the special privileges that cops get.
So was it a “pull my finger” or a “silent but deadly”?
If this were in P-Town, he’d be charged with making a pass at the officer...
