Mr. Smith Didn’t Do This (Failing financial firms run by Dems)
National Review ^ | 9-23-08 | Michael G. Franc

The blame game has begun.

To liberals, the financial meltdown results from recklessness by Wall Street’s “big banking boys” who, as socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) explains, were “empowered by the extreme economic views of [former] Senator Phil Gramm, President George Bush, Sen. John McCain,” and their ilk.

Beginning in the 1990s, this narrative goes, free market, Republican extremists told government regulators to take a hike so the barons of high finance could indulge in an economic free-for-all, thus producing our current travails. Numbered among these extremists, it seems, is retired liberal Rep. Jim Leach (R., Iowa), who coauthored a deregulatory measure now being ritualistically denounced by the Left....

Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen Patrick Leahy are only two reasons why I will never spend a single dime in Vermont.

“socialist senator says george bush did it...”

the leftist psychopaths are at it; so many years of cavalierly stealing other people’s money, denigrating the american system, fomenting hatred between groups, and just about subverting every form of life on the earth, they are now feeling their oats and will be the crass scu%bags that they are and will foment revolution in the form of “change”. you can bet on it.

IMHO

No one cares. Democrats can cut our heads off and it would still be GW’s fault.

This is yet another of the factual explantions put forth by thoughtful people in the last few days.

The other fact is that the MSM absolutely will NOT cover this- and the most infuriating part is that our own candidate also refuses to educate the public.

McCain will lose this election if he doesn’t challenge the media and liberal theme. I can see them sitting in various rooms shaking their heads at the good luck they’ve encountered- the maverick is letting us write the narrative.

Unbelievable.

The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved.”

That’s their answer to everything. Blame Bush. Well, these problems started when the democrats took over the Banking Committee two years ago. These problems started with Freddie and Fannie. Just imagine the government, led by Obama, Pelosi and Reid controlling the financial system. We must not let this happen.

That’s the real problem right now. The demonrats are winning the PR war. They’ll create and perpetuate any lie they think the average Joe will swallow.

The Republicans need to get on the f^&king soapbox and start pointing fingers back. It’s childish and boorish, but it HAS to be done of the uninformed American will just buy the demonrat BS.

There’s an election and the future of our country at stake!

The man is a liar. He can’t possibly believe this in his own mind. Well, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe he does.

I wish the Vermont secession movement had been wildly successful, so that we didn’t have to deal with these left-wing scum in the Senate.

For so many years, the Republican Party has been portrayed as the party of the fat, rich, white men. Yet take a look at these financial giants, their leadership, and who they support (politically)... And who the biggest cheerleaders were of these companies and their nefarious ways...

Democrats.
