The NYT piece tries to accuse McCain's guy of some bad stuff while simultaneously saying McCain has been running a guilt by association thing on Raines ~
They are desperate. Objectively speaking they were ahead of the game by just keeping the whole business out of the news, but the NYT can't bottle stuff up anymore.
Obama will be taken down by Raines. McCain's guy got chump change in comparison.
This is so freaking great! They don't seem to understand that the time compression element introduced by Palin (65 days from the time she was announced) is throwing hundreds of klieg lights on their activities. The thinning of the Great Journalist Herd of the Manhattan Plain isn't allowing them to sneak back into the herd after they release their crap payload onto the target Republican.
