Just got a 'push poll' call from some group promoting Colorado Amendment 47 (& 2 other amendments, which I do not remember). Classic stuff - do you support your firefighters (I've got three in my family), or evil out of State corporations? When I asked, upfront, who the caller worked for, I did not get an intelligable answer.
Based on my lefty Democrat neighbor's yard signs, and what I remember about 47, it's typical misleading Democrat push polling. If you live in Colorado, be prepared...

Last cycle I got one of those. When the slanted questions arrived and I realized what it was I started chuckling and said, this is a push poll isn't it? I answered questions contrary to the script and kept asking her, c’mon, admit it, this is a push poll. By the time she gave up she was trying to stifle a chuckle herself.

I just looked at an Amendment 47 web site, and in all honesty, I can’t tell whether it’s good or bad (republican or Democrat). Looks like I’ll have to start researching the details early this year...

Amendment 47 is the Right to Work amendment. It would make Colorado a pure right to work state versus the in between status we have today. Big Labor is not amused.

These type of polls are typically from out-of-state so their actions and expenses are beyond the scope of state laws on reporting political contributions.

I usually say put me back on the no call list. After a while they stop calling. Sometimes I tell them that I am still waiting for John Kerry's military records or something. Democrats leave me alone mostly.

Sounds good to me - but why my neighbors, who have both 'Hillary!' & 'Obama' signs (apparently the Mrs. disagrees with the Mr. ;>) on their lawn also have a '47' sign on their lawn, God only knows.
Please pardon my post - I obviously need to do some research on 47. Nevertheless (& FWIW), the caller came across 100% as a push poller...

I got push polled once. When I answered affirmative to an incredibly leading question there was dead silence, then a “did you understand the question?” Then, when they got around to asking for money for their cause I said “Sure, put me down for a dollar.”
